  1. Pambos, there is and has been for quite some time a bell housing adapter available for the Zed to take a 6 speed box, though the name of the manufacturer escapes me at the mo, it uses the same box as the S15, the lexus one, which in most cases is very strong and helped in making the S15 one of the most popular modified cars in japan now, though there is also an upgrade kit for making it stronger for the really modified boys. Cost of all this is mega bucks, however if yer serious search around and you'll find it. A simple auto to manual conversion is very popular, with standard boxes taking extreme amounts of BHP. cheers smithy
  2. Gees, must confess not many guys would be happy with buying and fitting another set of tubs after 2 years, but if yer timings right for the rebuild, then not so bad i guess. You getting the SE ones again Mac ? cheers smithy
  3. Good boys :) certainly if 1 or 2 more guys ordered same week as yer selves, i could offer half price on any of my OWN PRODUCED goods ordered at the same time or 100 quid voucher on ANY other products valid for 12 months. Now of course if there were 5 guys i would ask TD for a really good price for yers ;) cheers smithy
  4. Erm, that was a serious reply  assumed a fault finder (conzult) may possibly detect it whilst driving, no worries smithy
  5. Danny, couldn't you just plug one of your conzults in, then try the braking sharpely routine and have the passenger tell yer what came up on the readings, or is that not possible ? i don't have one see so just guessing. smithy
  6. Kia, if you go into the site you will see there should only be 2 types of boss offered, 1 is for people wishing to retain hicas and 1 is to retain hicas AND cruise control, the price difference ain't much and should cost about 80 quid to yer door, sometimes is very quick. You can use almost any steering wheel you want with these and yes all the momo's are renowned to fit well. cheers smithy
  7. Willy, if yer happy to sort the chip side of things out, i'll do the twin pop kit same as stillen for yer at cost price in exchange for feed back on performance gains. I'll simply design and fit on my Zed then send over to you for trial, be a couple of weeks before i find time to do it though. cheers smithy
  8. Funny enough though, i've just received what i need to do the Stillen version of the twin pop, so will be having a go at that meself, problem being i won't know how it pans out as i've no way here of fitting the suitable chip needed, so anyone with the stillen one already fancy a swap for this new version in couple of weeks ? just for trial purposes ? cheers smithy
  9. Subs, bit of a strange one this, cos as you fitted the breather kit this would NORMALLY make the claim invalid, BUT and it 's a big but, i know the same company who supplied the turbo's also designed and supplied your breather kit for you, so it's their own piece of work and in my opinion should stand by the 12,000 mile warrenty, even though you have just got to that point, certainly for good relations, however your dispute is with the supplier of the turbo's not the manufacturer, if it is as i suspect a different company that supplied them to you, if that is the case, then they must secure the job of repair or replacement for you and cover the costs, they will/should argue the case in order to get a best deal as possible so that they don't pay too much as official trade suppliers of that compnaies turbo's, i would expect a very good deal to be done, again in keeping with customer relations. Obviously as you know this happened with just 1 of mine and 300zxnewbie, i paid the subsidised cost of replacement AND fitting, cos i was the supplier, yours should do the very same, though after 14months i doubt you will get any help in fitting costs, sad thing is, the supplier may only have to write off a couple hundred quid, you however are left with a a far larger fitting bill, so fairs fair, pursue the supplier big time it's his/their responsibility. smithy
  10. Gibbon, don't worry the new Veilside C11 is no where near 2.5k you can knock a grand of that, no reason why Luke can't source it for yer as well, havn't seen it there, but check out the rides section for Sykes car. smithy
  11. Well i'm trying me hardest to keep em in stock, though that ain't easy ;) but other than that from date of payment about 8 days fella cheers smithy
  12. The HKS one (twin disc) is the only one i know whereby unless you got some serious power, it ain't worth didly squat.. it operates far better on high performance engines and i know for certain of 2 people who have sold theirs second hand because of this point, they were tuned, but not higher than 400bhp, so they sold em on. Gees if yer happy paying 500 bucks can sort you out a really good one, for around 400 quid you'l get the RPS MAK kit, capable of holding 500 ponies and that's the disc version, sprung hubs cost a little more. cheers smithy
  13. Scoops, just incase Mike can't help yer, i know JEFF TT was doing the same ones as Luke was. smithy
  14. Well done CJ and good luck hope it goes according to plan for yer. Oh and if i'd known you were in the market for new clutch and flywheel as well as me turbo's, would have done an even better deal for yer ;) smithy:cool:
  15. Jay looks like yer did it again :( you shown a pic of my fuse box cover lid made in 316 stainless, so the words "these will be nice when finished", contradict the pic which shows a finished product, and it's MINE and therefore his when done may not be excatly the same as the pic. Mac, Danny is the official seller of Goddard bits on these forums and as such should plug em on his section, not the fabricator who is a trader and plugging them in the General section :( it's bad enough some bloke in US copies what i done 2 years ago here in the UK and then has them plugged here for him or by himself. The pic below is from MY PC after i took the bleedin thing  Looks like i'm gonna have to start copywriting all the pics i take of me products so no fooker can use em to say these are "my products" Jay, once is a mistake, twice is taking the piss....... smithy
  16. Chuffin ell, 3 pages later on, gees i wish all these posts had been entering the GB on turbo's mentioned at the begining :D :D Anyways back to the start, i got the roller bearing jobbies and love em, come TT week over here i kill these big bikes, Steve Ellerby binned his HKS in favour of these and was over the moon. C'J is having some and will be as pleased as me and steve put together :) So do 5 peeps want me to sort out a GB on the NORMAL NON ball bearing spool up Hybrids as mentioned at the start ?:p if so i've start a thread in my traders section on Monday. cheers smithy
  17. Here's yer pic of me block after it had been copper ringed, look closely ;) smithy
  18. 1920 big ones delivered all in to yer front door ;) and that's now without a GB ;) Yeah yer a bit arse about face with the actuator, don't worry you'll never run it on it's limit... I think the tech term for what i had done was decking the block and copper ringing, got a piccie somewhere will dig it out and show yer. If you want to order just complete the order form in my section and post awayyyyy. If a GB starts it would be on the smaller cheaper hybrids see. cheers smithy
  19. Hi CJ, well if yer price includes vat for the blowers i can better it slightly, if not including vat i can better it greatly :D Me block work cost just over 200 quid and it's a widely used form of sealing the head properly in motorsport, used with stock gaskets which are actually very good. Dunno what yer mean about actuators, i'm using HKS Super AFR, APEXI AVC-R, Lumention air/fuel ratio meter and Apexi EGT sensor/gauge all to help get the correct fuelling, oh and an SE chip. The Turbo short downpipe is custom made, cheap as chips, lol and then i have SE stainless down pipes onto me Blitz realize system. Works well for me ;) cheers smithy
  20. Hi Alex, i have the roller bearing jobbies on mine, awesome amounts of torque :D what sort of price did they quote yer ? Why you replacing headgasket, having a rebuild or somethin ? i had a rebuild at the same time but only cos the rings were knackered, so i had the block copper ringed. Oh and i run 18psi on mine no probs. smithy
  21. Used a few rolling roads over the years, though not yet in me Zed. If you find a decent place they will ask you how far you want to go. I believe road is best for tuning and setting the car up, so GPS are right there, BUT if you want a power figure after yer mods so see what she's kicking out, then go for it. There are few decent ones in the NW area around warrington, so not far from GPS. Ask for a power run and not a tune up, they should ask you at what point do you want them to ease off, at the end of the day it's a simple get the speed up, floor it in 3rd, some use 4th and get the graph results, last seconds really and they can tell from the Graph what settings are correct and what arn't that might need adjusting, it's upto you if you do them. Usually find any garage doing the mods and has a set of rollers will gladly do yer a run or 2, garages that don't have this equipment don't offer the service else where or recomend it, incase it shows up faults with their work, not that i'm saying that's the case here ;) just often is. cheers smithy  Oh it may also depend on the mods you've had done ? as some new OEM parts that were fitted at the same time, may need time to settle in, newly rebuilt engine for example.
  22. Shame that Alfie, cos the labour can nearly be as big as the cost of decent turbo's and if they are paying that bit, yer half way there. Just hope it's not false economy for you, cos IF and of course it's a big "if" they should go again which can happen, yer lookin at quite a large lump of cash to lay out, good luck anyways. smithy
  23. I use me own :D great in the floods, whilst other cars are stranded mine just kept going, Zeds don't like getting water in the filters see. ;) smithy
  24. Nope, just buy carparts mart for 99p from wh smith's and there a few companies in there, you can get any size cc injector refurbed. You got the Nismo ones, cos i hear they have serious reliability problems. smithy
