  4. Happy Birthday Lee, have a great day
  5. Yes far right
  6. Just take out the fuel pump fuse in the small fusebox next to the brake master cylinder
  7. Under normal circumstances, it would be the maf at fault as it will not rev over 2.5k revs if dead, but it it does seem that with the injectors uprated the fueling is way out. Noz out tuning guru will no doubt be able to offer some advice :thumbup1:
  8. Best to have no friends, less likely to be stabbed in the back or get your missus poached, unless she can be part ex'd for the Datsun
  9. Larger injectors and no chip or remap to support the mods, im surprised its running at all lol
  10. I looked at that earlier, looks pretty clean. Likely the heater matrix or actuator for the valve needs replacing, but not the end of the world in the grand scheme of zed foibles
  11. Happy Birthday mate , have a great day
  12. Yes mate, they are tucked up slightly on the frame in front of the door/A pillar, but just below the glovebox line
  13. I think religion plays its part yet again in narrow minded views
  14. Right quite a common problem with headlights and one ive found the cure to was take off the passenger kick panel and just up near the bottom of the dash on the left are a couple of connector plugs, check for green corrosion on the pins of these plugs. I had two pins that where pretty bad which affected my horn going off constantly and the drivers headlight staying on by itself even with the switch off.
  15. They all look like that when first done  he has done a great job Lee, keep on top of it though, but dont use autosol it will dull the shine, autosol is good for stainless steel, but not so good with polished ali. Use something like brilliant metal polish that is non abrasive or do some research :thumbup1:
  16. Nice one on your new career move, its good for the soul to have some variation in your life and a job change is usually a good kick upto the next stage in your life. :punk:
  17. Dremel is only good for nooks and crannies, originally i bought a whole set of sisal and buffing wheels to mount on a drill, the speed needs to be fairly high, then exert some pressure, the dremel isnt strong enough when you put too much pressure. I will start another thread lol on how i did mine and the new system i bought at the NEC to stop clogging Si's thread further :thumbup1:
  18. Lots of youtube vids on how to polish lol, its just so time consuming when doing the plenum, other stuff like water pipes and smaller parts is not so bad, but the hardest part of the whole polishing engine parts job is keeping up with the finish. You have to set aside some time per week/month, to keep the shine. There are a couple of types of systems to use, the metallic composition to take into consideration, eg steel or ali etc have different make ups in chemical compounds and how these are affected when polishing. Prep is key and the smoother the finish before polishing the better result achieved :thumbup1:
  19. Yes used a brillo wheel first to get rid of the rust then a sisal wheel on a drill with some compound, but you still need to keep on top of cleaning as they will eventually oxidise again as they are steel. I got all the gear if you want to send the linkeage with the clocks when you go away :thumbup1:
  20. Welcome to the club Callum
  21. I would bring your thermals Trish, it gets chilly at night whilst drinking and talking bolllox  although i will be bringing a couple of halogen patio heaters with me, to keep the marquee nice and toasty
  22. Lol, i thought you meant no full retest, what a bummer
  23. You are now showing as subscribed, so to receive your welcome pack, PM gary wilson or send an email to garywilson@300zx.co.uk
  24. Great news Trish, enjoy the drink and then the zed
  25. Its not on the logbook, its on the vin plate under the bonnet, seat belt tags if original, under the boot carpet and on the back of the plastic rear light covers, my zed shows a K plate, 1993, it is infact a 1990 according to the vin plate etc... Removing the temp sender plug, will also likely make the engine run rich as the ecu needs the signal to adjust the fuel when up to temp.
