  3. Happy Birthday mate, all the best
  4. I think that sounds more serious than lifter rattle, i had a similar noise then worse on my NA after oil starvation to one of the heads, but having checked the heads, it seems the bag of spanners was coming from the block. I hope its not as bad, but i guess change the oil first and see if its any better, fingers crossed for you
  5. And no, there is no Nismo zed lol
  6. Sent PM:thumbup1:
  7. It is possible to change the mileage, but for obvious reasons cannot post on open forum :whistling:
  8. It wouldnt cost you 3k to put a v8 in yours lol
  9. Yes mate, can take upto 7 days, the bank basically hold the amount until claimed, if its not claimed within that time it is replaced into your account, had something similar happen recently.
  10. Ok tell him to use a meter and first determine that you are getting power to the switch, at least then you can move to the switches themselves and associated wires
  11. Have you used a meter to determine if you have power to the feed of the switch/motor?
  12. Are you using the original switches? The wiring to the seats is very basic, literally live and earth, so if you have a feed and its not working then something in the switches or loom to each motor. Need a bit more info or pics lol
  13. Im doing an NA to TT conversion, but i do have a TT car as a donor, but swapping stuff over to the NA isnt without its issues. However when my NA was running well, i had a full stainless exhaust from the manifolds to the rear, lightened flywheel, lightened single prop, lightened under drive pulley, lightened water pump pulley and a chipped ECU. air induction kit. I would say it made it more lively and released a few hp that was getting bogged down with standard set up, but i wouldnt say it created a load more HP compared to the benefits of doing a TT conversion. An NA is by no means slow and doing most of above will make it feel more spritely, but you need to weigh up the cost implications of both options. Stripping it of weight will help but then you compromise comfort and noise if keeping it as a road car.
  14. Sounds an interesting project, a couple of members in your area who are knowledgeable around the zed.
  15. Nice one Josh, i like the colour too
  16. They are indeed switched by the earth, so you could still be right, tracing it now is your other pain in the ass lol, check the connectors behind the pass kick panel in the footwell, check for corrosion/green gunk in the pins at least check continuity from the door to there, before tracing across.
  17. What was your previous user name? Admin can sort it for you :thumbup1:
  18. One weetabix lol, i have at least 4 in a bowl for supper :scared:
  19. Funny how you eat so many different types of food through out your life and just assume something hasnt agreed with you or youve eaten too much lol, i dont think i suffer from any thing like that but i do feel bloated after certain foods and again, like now after a sunday roast i feel ive probably just eaten too much. I do how ever drink loads of coffee in a day, but thinking back on days where i hardly eat much, i do feel better, so after reading this im going to take a look at my own diet :thumbup1:
  20. The window amplifier controls both windows, as Stuart mentioned, check the pass lock button on the drivers window switch isnt pressed down. Also to mention that as this is quite a common issue, you may be unlucky and your secondhand unit also has dry joints, they are pretty much on the board at the pin section where the plug would go. Here is the thread concerning the amp fix http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?137368-Repair-window-module

  24. Likely to be the window amplifier in the drivers door, common problem where the pin contacts on the board need re soldering. Little black box roughly behind the handle in the door card
