  1. Not really mate lol i just pay at the post office every 6 months, cant be arsed with doing it online or monthly
  2. Thats the plug, need to see the injector and not original plug by the looks of it
  3. Light blue? the stock injectors are purple, end up turning brown on a TT and red on NA, they may be upgraded, which would also require a remap/chip to compensate extra fueling. If you have no chip or remap you will be over fueling and cause rough running. Take a pic of the injector and post up
  4. As Lymon suggested, remove the convertor and revert back to oem to test the cluster, you may have a faulty convertor
  5. How are the injector terminals looking, any green corrosion on them?
  6. The reading should be a constant, make sure you use the right terminals, ie swap the probes around
  7. To add, when i say prise up using the screwdriver, i mean place the flat part of blade under plug, then rotate, so as the blade turns up it lifts the plug, not used like a jemmy bar lol
  8. And never use them wire wheels, will rip your car apart let alone your body
  9. The only problem with that little test is that you will here other ticking along the length of fuel rail, as it will echo and it can be mistaken for an audible tick but not a guarantee its the one your are listening too.
  10. Each injector should read between 10-14ohms anything over that or no reading and they are toast, easiest way to remove the clip on the injector plug is a largish flat blade screwdriver under the rear of the plug, ie from inside plenum legs, so throttle cover removed, and prise up. The clip will open allowing the plug to be pulled, just take it easy and have a magnet at the ready to catch a pinging clip lol http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?147148-Sensors-and-voltages
  11. The idle is fine now, obviously still rough, which would suggest something else, have you ohm'ed your injectors? the next big cause of misfire, also temp sender. Idle air is probably fighting with the ecu to stay stable due to another fault, it may not be the iacv itself at fault. I had an injector down and my iacv would not adjust either, till i sorted the problem, then it worked.
  12. No, but the TPS does affect the gear changes if not set correctly, power steering can be affected due to the ecu being tricked into thinking its going slower, but that shouldnt bother you with the power steering solenoid not connected :whistling::biggrin:
  13. Lovely mate, always been a fan and that v8 engine just sounds the nuts
  14. Worth a read http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1106815/Is-this-CODE-21-WRITE-UP-tech-article-worthy-IMG-help-plz.html
  15. Welcome and get your dad to post more here
  16. As the forum is in the public domain only non subscribed posts like this one can be read without having an account ie physically log in under a name. Subscribed section posts i believe are not in public view without registering, im sure our IT guru Lee ( jaikai) can clarify though.
  17. So you have had little contact from Jeff in 3 years? :whistling: I have PM'd Jeff asking he get in touch or reply to this thread and hope you can get this matter resolved. In the meantime if anyone not involved can refrain from remarks or accusations until the full facts are established Cheers
  18. The hole is so thin i really wouldnt bother, the strip that comes with the brake light is made of the same material aside from the rear of it which houses the bulb holders. You will not push it in lol
  19. Happy birthday
  20. I had to resolder an injector connection on the board as it had burnt out, but i wouldnt go re soldering the whole board you might create issues that were not there before and totally mess up the ECU, its the pacemaker to the heart of the car, would you perform open heart surgery on Neen
  21. Happy Birthday Mikey, all the best
  22. There is also the metal disc part which creates the circuit, is that there? Part of the boss iirc
