  4. No its the dish on the rim that gives it its stagger lol, the spacers will help fill to the edge of the arch giving better look :thumbup1:

  7. Likely a fuse :thumbup1:
  8. If they have cctv, they must have images of the car on their property from the day it was dropped off by you and therefore should be easy to prove either way whether the scratch was there, depending on the angle of pics, but going down the request for the cctv footage is the first port of call. If they try to fob you off, then threaten with legal action which will demand they produce the cctv footage from the date of arrival, most companies have to keep footage for a certain period of time, so you could well prove your case. Good luck :thumbup1:
  9. Great pics Tom, there are some great cars there and love the trucks :thumbup1:
  10. I was going to say Rolandas to use more than one word to describe JAE, but you covered it in your second post

  16. Oem: same belts and can adjust timing with a timing light Lightened: new belts as different size and no timing marks, but unless everything else in the crank line or belts is lightened, then any gain wont be noticeable
  17. Great news Trish, stay healthy and stay strong
  18. Yes 2k is toxic when mixed, the paint itself isnt, its the 2k hardener and thinners that is and you should use an air fed mask and paint suit when spraying and ideally in a proper paint booth, however the guy who sprayed mine had neither and is still alive lol. It does smell horrible and does linger for a while, so you may be better off going for a lacquer over your base coat, less smelly lol and safer with a charcoal mask 2k is quicker and a good hardy finish
  19. Drain it out of the bottom drain hole or if you only have the side entry, tip the box on its side to empty, you can jet wash the box, but make sure the sensor holes and breather pipe are bunged/sealed as you dont want water in the internals, then give it a coat of silver enamel paint like i did with mine ( remember) looked like it was silver plated
  20. As i understand it, unless you are using a 2k paint, you will need a clear lacquer and its the lacquer you colour sand and buff to the high gloss, you would end up with an orange peel effect at any stage of basecoat or 2k and you cut and polish to a gloss finish. I tried doing too many coats on my first attempt at spraying to get a glossy finish, but as the coats were too heavy, they eventually sag and if too heavy the solvents dont escape enough between coats and ended up with a slightly milky look to the paint or still soft after drying. As suggested above 800 -1000 on the primer before base coat and hit the top coat/lacquer with 1200-1500 grit then compound and polish.
  21. Damn Lee you didnt need to take the gearbox off to get to the sensors, just drop it down slightly lol, good practice for you though
  22. Any Nottingham members who might be interested, even as a joint effort?
  23. I know a couple of people close who are going through something similar, all you can do, is to be strong and think positively, the mind can be a great healer, dont wallow in what is a devastating blow, as it can eat you up, but face it head on and fight :thumbup1: I hope you too, have a successful outcome from your angiogram and you know we are here for support and and sounding board anytime :thumbup1:
  24. Subscribing by paypal is almost instant update of your account and therefore opens up the facilities available to a subscribed member including the PM facility :thumbup1:
  25. When JAE was at Wicksteed park, you did get a fair amount of paying public and we did have some moments of interest from other clubs, like you do when you do a walk around of the site, also amongst ourselves a fair bit of chatting cars and mods etc. We were in a good location at Wicksteed, pretty much near the entrance, so most of the cars coming into the site had to go past our stand and therefore possibly create some interest from people just being nosey. Next year will be different and improved as we move forward with some ideas and members interested in organising the event for the club
