Show me your workshop/shed
All noggins nearly done in, one end nearly clad and clad the bottom round most of it to make sure the levels are right, still got to cut out for the windows then continue cladding. Im so pleased i bought the huge tarp as its been raining on and off most of the day, but i was able to carry on working regardless, more pics :thumbup1:

Three new motering laws
No law about smoking in your own home with children  so its not really a law is it, just another way to sting the motorist for a fine, bit nonsensical in terms of a law

Three new motering laws
As a smoker i agree with not smoking in the car with kids on board, however i dont need the government telling me that i cant do it should i wish, it should be left to common sense, after all the police have admitted, they are highly unlikely to pursue it, lack of manpower and already our nanny state is treating us like fricking imbeciles and likely sat in the smoky bars of the commons trying to conjure up something else to make money or stitch us up with  Oh yes, tax on sugar will be next, the answer would be to make everything sugar free or sugar alternative, paying more will not stop obesity, another money maker

Show me your workshop/shed
Timber arrived at midday yesterday and knocked this up in about 4 hours, go to do the noggins and cut and frame where the windows are going, picked up the sheets of ply for the roof today along with some double glazed window units and have covered it all up for the night with a huge tarpaulin as its meant to rain through the night, the tarp is so big i can work under it like a tent. Its 17ft x 8ft, 2m at the rear and 2.3m at the front elevation as im keeping it under 2.5m for permitted development

My new Z and her 'issues'
He already has the new bearing fitted as a new prop wasnt an option at the moment, however as Steve and i suggested, may be one of those still to look at causing the issue :thumbup1:

My new Z and her 'issues'
One suggestion, although would only help if it was a vibration issue at speed is to rotate the prop 180deg as it may be a balance problem, however the thump is weird, especially after having a new bearing. Need to check drive shafts after that if its rotational related

Show me your workshop/shed
Looks really nice that Dave  Dan i agree that all stud in houses is done in 4x2 and i did building for many years as a chippy, doing flat conversions roofing etc  But for my needs with what is a small space in comparison 3x2 will more than suffice. By the time the cladding is on and boarded internally and with 3/4 ply on the roof, all screwed and no nails, its not going anywhere soon :thumbup1: Anyway, wood arrives tomorrow, so as long as the weather is reasonable, i cant wait to get started

Show me your workshop/shed
That didnt sound right when i re read it lol, i meant with 4x2 and board i would lose 2 and 1/2 inches internally unless i made the uprights side on then it would be 2 inches regardless

Would love a huge garage like that Gary, although the other half would never see me lol, she has already said that now when the workshops done

Show me your workshop/shed
I did look at 4x2 Dan, but i would be losing an inch internally, then boarding the inside another 1/4inch or so all round, if i was able to build it bigger then it wouldnt be an issue and considering what most normal sheds are built from, 3x2 will be like steel girders in comparison lol

Show me your workshop/shed
Well its been a long time coming for me to get round to building my workshop  To finish building my drive, i have to get rid of a dilapidated shed and a load of crap to the side of the house, but until the workshop is built at the bottom of the garden, i couldnt do anything on my poor zed  After trying to find a reasonable priced shed/workshop, i decided it would be cheaper to buy the materials and build my own. I did the concrete foundation in July which had then been covered with a 6m x 3m gazebo, to help the concrete dry and keep the pets off and while up and once concrete set we used it for a few BBQ parties  The timber is being delivered on thurs and im looking forward to getting a man cave again and having all my tools in one place, instead of scattered among two sheds lol It will have a pent roof and is 16ft by 8ft, i will take progress pics as i go, so far its cost about £600 for the timber and cladding and thats without insulation, electrics, windows and door factored in, however to buy one ready built to the spec i want is nearly £2k, so im looking at about £1k finished. All 3x2 and treated shiplap cladding, 8x4 sheets of 3/4 ply for the roof and for now will be using green/slate roofing felt, may up the grade at a later date, but for now keeping the costs reasonable. I did look at using pallettes and felt too much work invloved and time consuming for now, I looked at using reclaimed timber, but my local demolition place had no 3x2 or 2x2 so went for new and to be fair the 3x2 was really cheap from my local Jewsons  Would love to see some other man caves to steal some ideas from  benches layout and finish etc.. Bring on the mancave porn
