  1. Well done Dave, and welcome to the team. Graham
  2. Not a parking light unfortunately. There is a little black box behind the right hand rear light panel, all the rear lights go through this little box. You might want to check the connection and failing that, take it apart, just a couple of plastic lugs, then check the circuit board fror dry joints or corrosion. I had a similar problem with mine, turned out the box was rotten inside. HTH The fuse is for all the sidelights and not just one side, so wont be that, check the earthing on the light bulb feeds, the wires run across the bottom of the boot to feed the other side.
  3. They wont squeal initially, give it a few miles, if they are going to do it at all. I put on plenty of cooper grease on the shims, but deffo a pad to disc squeal, might have to emery the pads, might have a bit of dirt or grit trapped.
  4. Actually funny you should say about the squeaking, i just fitted new pads a month or so ago and im getting a slight squeak when i put my foot on the brake lightly, need to strip down and take a look as i didnt have this problem with my previous 2 pairs of mintex.
  5. Ive used them for a few years and apart from the brake dust they are good value for money and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, stop the car, which is a bonus :lol:
  6. The rules have been the same for several years http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=50907 and clearly stated http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=114103
  7. Hi Phil and welcome to the club. The N/A is a good daily driver with enough power to make you smile, more fun in a manual though and you will find many convert to manual from auto whether its a TT or an N/A. TT is a more serious smile factor and can be modded to gain greater horsepower. Its all down to budget at the end of the day, that will depend on how good, bad, little work, lots of work is required. Take a look in the faq section at the buyers guide http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43 Insurance really varies, dependent on age, NC, points, location again lots of threads on insurance, use the search at the top right menu. Its a group 18, so one of the top groups. Some companies try or will charge more for imports rather than a UK model, but in some cases there isnt alot in it. Take a look in the for sale section http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=75 Might be something you like or at least give you an idea. Personally i love driving the zed, always turns heads and is an enjoyable experience rather than a necessity. Good luck with the search
  8. Lol, glad you had a good time. Andy likes his leds lol, anywhere and everywhere and glad a few bulb holders have helped so many.
  9. Its in the faq section http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117229
  10. strood, also behind the drivers kickpanel where the fuse board is, there are relays and most of the main electrical gubbins is terminated there. You will have to take the fuse board out to get to it iirc
  11. Used to be DarksideTT's car, then sold it on, not a member here lol
  12. Blimey thats cheap, i paid more than that for mine.
  13. And to sell on ebay you have to pay a listing fee, links to ebay generally given on this forum are not usually personal items for sale unless subscribed. You used to have membership, then its only £15 to re-subscribe, you also have to conform to 300zx.co.uk rules. Selling directly or indirectly as a registered user is not permitted. In a previous post in this thread you stated that it may be removed, knowing that, you tried again. Its the same rule for all, sorry
  14. Dont lend friends money, simple. You dont generally get it back and it effects the friendship over a few quid. I had a guy, suposed to be a friend, ripped me off for thousands along with others. He did a runner in the end, police had no hard evidence to prosecute, no paper trail. Found he had been in prison for the same thing in the past conning people out of money. He had a gambling addiction and liked a drink. After having tens of thousands of hard conned money, you would think he had a good lifestyle. His council house was full of old seconhand tat from the tip and never had food in the fridge, what a loser. Anyway its not worth the hassle and im glad you didnt lend it. Graham
  15. D2 in Kent will be able to sort you out, do a search or google. With the ignition on, depress the brake pedal, you should hear a click. The switch activates the solenoid to move the shifter. Did the speedo work fine or move irratically when the power steering plays up? if so could be dry joints on the speedo board.
  16. AndyP deals with the accounts, so as soon as he has seen the payment, he will update. More likely to be on a working day though lol, so tommorow it may show.

  19. Its the same stuff mate, needs heating the same to create the seal. Although if you look at the diagram it looks like there are 2 different part numbers, one for the light to the body and one for the light itself. Im sure Mike from MJP will know, he has an encyclopedic brain when it comes to parts lol
  20. Hi Jack and welcome to the club
