  1. Depends on the damage, if its superficial, ie scratched, blistered, rub them down and the carbon pillar covers will stick over the top. I have some fitted to mine. dont get the carbon look sticker stuff, but the proper carbon pillar covers.
  2. Looking very nice there mate. What are the braided breather hoses for/why to the cam covers?
  3. Im pleased for you bud, well done
  4. :happybday: have a great day :happybday:
  5. Ah if you had said that as well, would have been cleared up much sooner lol
  6. No they are part of the shim set i think, definitely dont get any with new pads. They are called pad retainers http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/br/012.gif
  7. I have a jap import and mine dont do it, but as said some may do. Do you have any side lights that come on when you turn the lights on?
  8. There is a code numer on the top of the aircon compressor, take a note of it and phone Mike Feeney MJP, he will be able to tell you the differences and why.
  9. Should be 2 shims either side of each pad, but looking at the zcentre website, he supplies 3. Plus there is the spring retainer on each corner of the pads (2)which hold the shims in place. Ive recently changed my pads and have lost the little spring retainers and my pads do move slightly within the caliper.
  10. True , but he is saying his side lights dont come on at all until the indicators are turned on.
  11. No lol, its normally a duff earth/ground. Its more than likley the side lights and the indicator housing share the same ground. It can happen if you have water in the housing that rusts the terminals. Take them apart and give them a good clean and get rid of any green crap on the terminals in the plugs/socket
  12. Its either been wired wrong to the indicator feed or you have a short, best to take out the indicator housing and trace the wires.
  13. Have a nice day Vig, all the best Graham
  14. :happybday: have a good day :happybday:

  16. This should help, the pivot ball is part of the gearbox, so will come under the manual transmission section of the online manual http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/mt/007.gif called the ball pin in the manual http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/cl/005.gif http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/cl/007.gif
  17. You could be right there Mikey, never had much to do with the journals
  18. Not really, its a case of taking the cowl off to get to the barrel, you may need to take the barrel apart. But before you do, try the key, turn on till ign lights light up, turn the key back to off. Press the button as normal to take the key out. If it comes out easily then it may be another problem, you may have a switch behind the brake pedal, not releasing properly, but as i said, it doesnt do it on mine. Good luck mate
  19. Mine can come out in any gear, as long as the ignition is off. You may have trouble with the key release button in the barrel and yes Maz mines still auto, not changed the box yet lol
  20. Only subscribed members will be able to post in your journal as it is in the subcribed area of the forum
  21. The primer will be fine, its the top coat that tends to crack unless they use plasticiser in the paint to give it some flex.
  22. A bit big for a normal washing machine, but i have a jet washer, give them a shampoo and hose down, let dry, then a good brush up, then febreeze. Like new again.
  23. Shagpile in mine, i love them, but i am an eighties throwback lol
  24. On the bumper it is moulded into the finish, so just keep sanding lol, start off with an 80 grit on a sander and gradually reduce the grit till its smooth.
