  1. I tried proper caliper paint from Halfrauds and the same as Ian, absolutely shite. Hammerite smooth or enamel paint all the way. If using enamel paint use an enamel primer first. I just did my exhaust rocker cover in silver and came out perfect.
  2. Holy shit Mike, i didnt realise you had that much going on. Onwards and upwards from here bud and by the way the Z is supposed to be a midlife crisis toy :wheelchair::wheelchair::lol:
  3. The top din of the console is larger than the bottom and you may find you need to get the dremmel out and do a bit of trimming. Most single dins will fit, its the facia surround that comes with the stereo that the problem lies.
  4. Welcome to the club, another in south central
  5. The live is constant, the door switch for instance when open goes to ground to complete the circuit. The boot is on the same circuit, therefore if one door is open the boot light will come on with the interior light. If the boot is opened the interior light also comes on. You will find there is live voltage on the boot catch, ie: where the 3 bolts are that attach tha latching mechanism to the body. HTH
  6. Its a 501 or T10, same as the dash bulbs, interior map lights. 5w HTH
  7. The autobox was an option for the one legged man :wheelchair::lol::lol:
  8. Nice find, i hope its reasonably accessible with the dash still in lol
  9. Nice one, its so annoying :2guns:
  10. Its only on automatics, but havent found it yet lol
  11. It sounds like the beeper in the reverse circuit is draining voltage that you want to go directly to the lights. Get rid of the beeper and it should be fine. I have no idea where it is, but if you find the little bugger let me know, cos i want to get rid of my reverse beeper lol
  12. No-one ever checks the mileage, i wouldnt worry about it, get yourself to JAE you big Jessie :tt2:
  13. Take the indicator lens off to gain access to the bolts behind the fog light. Use a small ratchet with a 10mm socket to loosen the three bolts which hold the fog light in. HTH
  14. Mine sits at about half or just under, so not far out. Mine is an N/A though so might run slightly cooler than a TT. Cant wait to see it in the flesh, but i bet youre frustrated as hell at the minute lol
  15. nothing worse than an ex smoker, but good luck to you. I know i should give up, but i enjoy it too much, although most of the time it is just habit. The cost and health issues should be enough not to smoke, but then again driving a zed can have the same effect
  16. I wouldnt bother either lol, but fair play to you. All the best with the task ahead
  17. Congrats Jason on a well deserved win, im looking forward to seeing it again in the flesh/metal at JAE, absolutely stunning.
  18. I wouldnt get rid of it Paul, youve put too much into it recently and have loved every minute, you know you have. I wouldnt worry about buying a house, its not yours till youve finished paying for it, they are not worth the asking price, the market is all over the place, getting a mortgage in the first place is a nightmare, you will need a far bigger deposit than you used to have to fork out, always the threat of losing it if you cant pay the mortgage, loan or tax bill. Yes its nice to have a place to call your own, but its not the be all and end all. I could go on and on, but its your decision at the end of the day, just weigh up the pro's and con's, selling the zed for whatever price aint gonna get you a house lol All the best Graham
  19. Mine are yellow but get dirty and grimy very quickly, but match the car pretty well.
  20. Hi Stu, no problem at all, its probably the best way to get rid of bits you have Cheers Graham

Hi Stu As a registered user you are not permitted to offer parts for sale. I appreciate that this thread has not yet become a for sale thread and as soon as you are subscribed there will be no problem, but i will have to close this one for now until you show green. Cheers Graham
  22. You will find the gunson easibleed kit will not work, even with the universal adaptor you can buy from them directly. I tried it, didnt work did it the old way. You could try and modify and old brake cylinder cap, but as its double skinned, its a pain. I find the best thing is the self bleed pipe from halfords, its around 6 quid and has a non return valve, so you can do the pedal on your own and once the air is out, tighten up the nipple and your done. HTH
  23. Search in the faq is your friend lol http://www.zmods.org/index.php?page=headlight_rem
  24. I think its 6pm, but thats when everyone wants to be in their garden, especially in the summer
  25. Legally its supposed to be displayed in the window, however with the anpr and instant checks they can do im sure you will be fine. If its been done online and accepted it should be on the database.
