Welcome to the club and look forward to some pics.
  2. Welcome to the club BILL, im sure you will enjoy your new toy and learn lots too.
  3. If you never use them, just pretend they work and save yourself the hassle lol
  4. Ive got a load of T5s and are smaller than the map reading light.
  5. Happy Birthday bud and hope all is well with the zed have a great day.
  6. Only kidding bud, I have to admit that blending the panel has been the bain of my life of late, getting the odd crack appearing in the filler line between the panel and body. Obviously the body must twist slightly and this shows at the top of the panel in the corners at the boot line, i need to sand back and once sorted need to build the filler out at the corners.
  7. I would get the engine checked over, cam belt check or change, compression test, conzult and sort little issues and enjoy the car. If it feels strong and no horrible noises, chances are unless you rag the arse of her that it will be fine. I know what you are saying about the peace of mind, but the more you drive it and get used to it, the more likely you can make that decision if you fell strong enough about it. Cost does depend on how far you want to go and whether you can do any of the work yourself.
  8. I think you need to get it running right first  But blue cam covers would set it off nicely
  9. :glare: say what
  10. Great colour, and having a yellow zed myself ( primer at the minute lol) ive gone for hello yellow, which is a smart car colour but looks wicked on white primer. My only fear of the three stage pearl is getting a stone chip and being a daily driver, its inevitable for me, but as a show or weekend car ideal.
  11. Nice one Terry, you really are pulling our finger out lol
  12. I like that Andy, gives it a nice sense of depth and finishes off really nicely. Did you get the piping made then glued it on or did you buy a roll from somewhere?
  13. Easy, you just push at the front of the bonnet rapidly and you can hear it squeak, metal to metal and just wrap some insulation tape around the bar on the bonnet catch as i said above lol, only need a couple of turns, not too much.
  14. Pretty damn good for an NA Ash, i wonder how much more can be squeezed from her.
  15. Nice pimp mobile  i do like mercs, always fancied a CLK for some reason
  16. I used some heavy insulation tape on the bonnet catch ( U shape on the bonnet) and the squeaking stopped  Not a permanent fix but replace every now and then to fix.
  17. It seems thast all you do with them lol, wash and polish  Mind you if i had a garage like yours i would never be out of it :thumbup1:
  18. At least she will see the light of day again in the not too distant future ( assuming Terry gets his finger out of his arse this time ) Only kidding mate, i know you went though alot of pain deliberating over your old zed, good luck with the new one and look forward to the progress pics
  19. Happy birthday mate, hope you had a nice day
  20. Its a plasti dip paint, similar to what we spray the trims with, the only problem i see is that if you get a stone chip the vinyl layer will start to peel off. Some colours look cool but personally think the red looks like primer or oxidised paint.
  21. Sounds like youve popped a hose, as long as you havent driven on no oil, you may be lucky. Give it all a clean up and you may be lucky and see the cause. Doubt it is the head gasket.
  22. Cool leathers lol, i bet he had a blast.
  23. Welcome back munny, didnt realise he was selling his zed, but youve got yourself a nice one there.
  24. It will take a while for the ecu to re learn the engines settings, but check all the vac pipes, connections and not having an air filter wont help much lol Check TPS and IACV
