  1. I do miss the kickdown when i had the auto, i did a manual conversion with lightened flywheel, under drive pulley, water pump pulley, light weight one piece prop, stainless exhaust incl manifolds, chipped and it certainly goes and as said, you get the nice pull with a TT when it really matters, but i use mine everyday, so want reliability nut still get the grin factor when heavily booted lol
  2. Thats all we try to achieve mate, but sometime you are damned if you do and damned if you dont, unfortunately you cant always please everyone and be seen to be doing whats right for the club.
  3. Is that the only reason you want to be a mod Lee? Just to ban someone lol, there is alot more to it than that let me assure you :thumbup1:
  4. Youre right we cant have two grumpy Mikeys, so you will have to go :2guns:
  5. Cheers Lee, but you are forgetting one thing, i can actually ban you for a laugh
  6. And 7 foot tall and a few feet wide
  7. Im pretty sure several attempts at contact were made bud, you wouldnt just get switched off without trying lol, remember that to become a moderator, a member has to be fairly active and log on regularly in order to moderate, as Richard stated, you seem to have disappeared and we never heard from you. Anyway i hope you are well and the relationship still going strong, did you get married?
  8. Must be your paranoia or bad luck lol, ive driven mine nearly everyday for the past 6 years with no major hassles or little hassles come to that lol
  9. If you would like to email one of us Mikey for an explanation, rather than open forum. Cheers
  10. Why on earth should we care what happens in a billion years? a hundred years come to that, as neither of us will be here lol
  11. Nice to see you back bud and im pleased you will be updating your build thread, as i for one, have missed it lol
  12. All the best Mark in your new venture, a big decision and big balls to take on a household name in the world of zeds. I dont look at it so much as big shoes to fill, as they are buggering off to Portugal lol, you now have the chance to prove your own worth and continue the legacy and hope all runs smoothly for you
  13. All the very best Jeff and Lynda on your new adventure together in the sun. This club and its members will not forget the valuable service and technical tips you have given over the years and hope that you still pop on line now and then to have a good chin wag. Life is too short to get hung up about anything, or have regrets, so enjoy it to the fullest
  14. It gives me great pleasure to welcome our newest trader on 300zx.co.uk. Please join the committee in welcoming on board: Chris aka Ceejay is trading as CJ Tuning and will be offering for sale stainless bolts, washers and engine bling. Check out his new trade section for latest offers and pics. On behalf of the committee and members we wish you all the best for the future:thumbup:
  15. It wasnt the Zulag though was it?
  16. It was just newly listed on ebay bud, i have 300zx as my opening page lol £40? that is cheap, i paid £80 for mine and new they are £175 + vat so a steal IMO
  17. Cool, well if you want cruise control you can get them from the Zcentre, around £50, be aware that you will need the non turbo boss with cc, or standard without cc, may be a bit cheaper, or try ebay bud.
  18. Absolute bargain at that price, not mine, but after what i paid for mine and the price new, someone can grab a bargain here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Issota-Italy-steering-wheel-no-boss-kit-/221248018971?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item338368da1b
  19. Well done Brian, thats a big job to do for nothing, so credit where credits due, top man
  20. Spread the word i guess is the way to go. It is not for us to seek out and contact a banned member to ask if they want to appeal and there are varying reasons and degrees concerning bans and therefore certain banned members' status would remain , depending on the severity of the reason for the ban in the first place. Still no reason not to appeal, as every case as stated, will be decided on an individual basis.
  21. I left my auto brake pedal assembly alone and just cut the foot part, but getting the clutch pedal in position was a pain, due to part of the metal up in the dash getting in the way.
  22. Hi Al, i am really disappointed you and Daz havent set up shop yet, mine is still in bloody primer
  23. If you get an auto, the first thing i would do is to drain the oil and take off the sump ( of the box) and take out the strainer to give it a good clean, you will still have a couple of litres in the convertor, but you can remove the oil cooler pipes and run an airline through to aid getting it out. Some common issues with the autobox is debris or sludge clogging the strainer.
  24. No, i drove with a bypass for months before i replaced the matrix, all you are doing is bypassing the matrix, no detriment to the engine circulation at all.
  25. The bay can be daunting if you are not used to it, but you will soon get your head around it lol. Changing the plugs for instance, you will need to remove the balance bar to get to No 6 plug and be careful of the O rings when you take the bar off, so lift off slowly to make sure you dont lose one and forget about it when replacing. Oil filter easy access, drain plug on the bottom of the rad ( drivers side) gearbox oil a pain in the ass, Manual, i found it easier to use an extended tube on the bottle from inside engine bay and down through to the side of the box, Auto filled up through the dipstick, apart from that pretty straight forward. Plenty of info in the tech FAQ's on the header of page, worth doing some research, it will make it so much easier understanding the zed.
