noooo, 3year off the road and within a month a taxi has crashed into the back of me
As said above really, the other party admitted liability and the insurance should pay whatever the cost is to put back to original state pre accident, you cant lose as long as you stay firm with them.

Hi newbie here after my first zed!!!!
Welcome to the club Adam and i wouldnt worry too much about service history, most will generally have been reasonably looked after and there are few with known service history, best to check her over when you get it and with advice from here, replace parts as needed and change fluids, oil every 3-4k miles.

300ZX TT Green help required!!
No worries bud, its a shame you are thinking of selling as its a superb example, when Steve had it. If you are serious about selling, it will be worth your while subscribing and selling here, as a zed of that calibre will be more appreciated.

300ZX TT Green help required!!
SandyZ and before him Steve300zx our old club secretary, here is the original sale thread post, hth. The time has finally come for me to part company with my pride and joy. I only plan to advertise my car on this site, as I would really like the car to stay in the club and not get the arse ragged off it. We’ll have to see how it goes. Members who have seen my car, know exactly what condition the car is in. Those who haven’t seen it only have the photos in my rides to pass judgement. IMO, it is impossible to appreciate the actual condition of the car without actually seeing it up close. The car IS in concourse condition. It has won a total of 20 trophies over the past 4 years which is another indication of what the potential new owner would be getting for his money. It is also worth remembering that the car didn’t win the trophies 4 years ago. It won the trophies year after year, proving that the car is not a ‘has been’. In fact the biggest award it has ever won was last August, when it won the ‘best in show’ at JAE. It was up against a couple of £70K - £80K Skylines and wiped the floor with them, not because it was a better car but because of the immaculate condition the car was in. IMO this is one of the, if not, the best condition TT manual in the club today and a true enthusiasts car. The car is a 1996 model year 300ZX Twin Turbo manual Japanese import. History: 3 years (1 owner) in Yokohama Japan. I have ALL the Japanese documentation, service books, manuals etc. The car was imported in Feb ’99 as a grade 4.5 import by the Crowne Motor Company in Henley on Thames. It had 19000 miles on the clock at the time. The new owner (lived in Tunbridge Wells) had the car for the next 5 years and I also have all the documentation from his ownership. The car was always garaged and never used in winter. He serviced the car regularly and did a full cambelt service after the car was 5 years old (31000 miles). I bought the car in October 2004 (54000 miles) and have maintained the car, regardless of expense. I did another full cambelt change at 56000 miles, as it was almost 5 years since the previous one. The car now has 67000 miles on the clock. I won’t bother writing all the mods I have carried out, as the full detailed list is in my rides section, however, to give you some idea of the expense the car has enjoyed since my ownership, here are some examples: Full leather re-trim by Kish Exceutive Ltd. ~ £2000 New wheels and tyres ~ £1600 Exhaust, decatt and downpipes ~ £1000 New front brakes (6 pot) ~ £1300 Max Street clutch and RPS Segmented flywheel ~ £800 Blitz SUS INduction Apexi BOV's ~ £400 PACE Intercoolers ~ £600 Big ICE install, including a lot of custom build ~ £5000 Koyo radiator ~ £400 99 Spec upgrade (bumper, lights etc) ~ £800 Blitz springs, Koni adjustable shocks ~ £700 Camber arms, tension rods, anti roll bars ~ £600 Clifford 650P Cat 1 alarm, Parrot Bluetooth, HID conversion ~ £900 Momo handbrake, gearstick, steering wheel and boss ~ £400 New exterior trims ~ £400 Profec B Boost controller, SE chip ~ £300 Carbing front brace, throttle cover, Injen hard pipes ~ £600 Please read my rides spec list for the rest. The total spend on the car, including purchase price is approaching £33K In terms of performance, the car has been Dyno’d on three occasions and all have come out at around the same figures (all three were different testing facilities). It is around 340 RWHP, 410 FWHP and 395 Torque. Probably loads more to write, so I may add further details later.

drop curb
Knowing these silly sods over here they would if i left it parked in the way

Double din stereo
As Ian said, it comes with a lead for the Ipod, plugs into the back of the unit and i ran mine to the centre console armrest cubby, automatically switches to Ipod when plugged in and depending what model Ipod, you can control everything from the touchscreen of the head unit, it shows as it would on the Ipod, which is quite cool. For the money you cant go wrong with so much in one unit.

Double din stereo
Thats exactly the same as ive got in mine, the only thing which is annoying is the volume difference between radio and dvd or cd, apart from that has been a good reliable unit. you can pick the icon at start up, i have Niassan of course, but there are a few to choose from, also change the buttons from blue to red, good bluetooth for hands free and if you want the glare of the screen off at night, press and hold the mute button.

drop curb
I got my quote from a council approved contractor, I live in like a circle of a road, which is fairly tight and parking is a nightmare, should be a cul- de-sac really, but in a couple of weeks they are placing double yellow lines on the whole inner circle and all the outer corners, to stop cars driving on the path to get round parked cars, which will also obliterate about 10 parking spaces, so im having to rush getting my drive done and have to get the drop curb done, not only as its a bylaw, but anyone will be parking in my space if im not back home in time, which really winds me up. Thats not all though, i have to pay another £64 to have a white line in front of my drive to make sure no one can park there when the drive is finished, i could have really done without the expense as i would rather get the zed painted lol
-
drop curb
I had a quote yesterday for my drop curb, its 4 meters wide and as my neighbor has a drop curb, they will move his end angled drop curb and place it at the other end of mine and put in 5 half curbs and do the path for £900 and i thought that was a bit much lol.

99 spec bumper spraying,
I think its a flex and adhesion promoter which is added to the paint, some say its not required on bumpers but from what i have read it is recommended for urethane bumpers
-
99 spec bumper spraying,
Plasticiser ( i think thats what its called) needs to be added to make the paint pliable, a paint shop or good painter will know what its called lol

Auto Gearbox, Is It Dead????

Mystery hose
Ok i would say it connects to the top of the turbo intake hose 4th picture in this link http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?126847-Intake-piping
-
Mystery hose
If the hose is connected to the airbox in the top of the wing i would imagine it would join to pipework leading to the front of the car to the air intake piping for clean air to make its way into the aiv box, as its designed to cool the cats i would imagine this is where it should be heading. Im still searching lol, so when i find the definite answer i will post up.

Is it just me, or are the general public getting ruder?
Just be as miserable and rude as them and then no need to complain about it, we would all be the same  I do hate rude drivers who dont wave to say thanks and i hate it when shopping, people just hog the shelf with their trolley so you cant get to it or people in the middle of the aisle chatting and dont move. I then pretend my little one has pushed the trolley into them by accident
-
Mystery hose
Ive never seen that hose before either lol, must be something someone knocked up in the past for something. I think rather than trying to locate where the pipe might go, you need to see where its coming from under the battery tray, it could be plugged into the air box inside the wing, but i dont remember seeing a hose that long or diameter for it to plumb into on the engine side, slao where mine has been deleted i cant check either. If anyone reading this post can have a quick look under the bonnet to see if they have anything close, may help.
