  1. Laziness, but unusual.
  2. Are you sure the plug hasnt been cut off? should have a plug on the end, check for the wire in the corrugated sheathing/wire tidy.
  3. Go into your profile, edit, then edit signature and upload either from your harddrive or from photobucket in the window
  4. You should have or you wont be able to select a gear or start the car, have you any pics of the replacement box?
  5. As far as fitting and wiring it should fit, if it is a stand alone unit, ie no function from the original vehicle.
  6. It acts as a choke on a cold start or start up, it seems Lee that at the moment all your issue seem to stem from the iacv, so take it off, check the gasket when you take it off, it should stay intact or stuck to the plenum, if its in bits, then start there, it may be taking a constantly incorrect reading affecting your idle and revs. When you adjusted the idle screw with the plug off, did it make much difference when you plugged it back in? Def an air issue if you cant get a constant reading.
  7. So you have, reverse light switch, speedo/revolution sensor and extra connector looks like the Inhibitor switch. There should be a connector for it as the autobox as far as im aware use the same connectors, it will be on the drivers side of the bulkhead, it goes to the starter relay behind the arch liner.
  8. Only one showing. from tuesday, but yes, will be an interesting group buy.
  9. Hmm, just checked the mail and you emailed me once, you lying git :winkiss: If you can make it work mate then go for it
  10. Hi Mark, not had any PM's from you, but in fairness i havent checked my zx.co.uk mail for a while, had laptop issues. PM with your request and i will do my best to not bother answering :tt2:
  11. These things that can be modded, but simple items like: heated auto retracting mirrors, auto interior light dimming on and off with the remote, remote boot popper, and as Richard touched on, a good nav media package with steering controls, but generally not a lot lol. I know it says change one thing, but most of the above come under electrical
  12. Get new ones from MJP, not expensive and peace of mind over used or secondhand
  13. Also for the sake of a few quid and a couple of hours work, change the vvt springs, mine made a racket at tickover because of them and sounded a little like lifters/tappets
  14. I used an engine hoist and removed and replaced both engine and box together, you need to undo the 4 subframe bolts a couple of inches to allow ease of access and remove steering collar, so much easier than messing about on our back struggling with the box.
  15. Nice vids, good to see zeds going up a track.
  16. Good luck for Saturday guys, hope it all goes well, have fun and be safe.
  17. What a load of tosh, your tester needs retesting lol
  18. H1 in the main beam and H3c in the dipped ( projector lens part of headlight) If you get some HIDs then H3 will be fine.
  19. Have you checked your plugs and coil packs? Unplug each coil pack one by one to determine which cylinder changes or not as the case may be. You can use a meter to measure the voltage at each connector, this will eliminate or pinpoint an injector plug, also check for corrosion on the pins.
  20. Injector pulse and duty cycle is a little low and judging by the lack of drop in revs on the power balance test, you have an issue with cylinder 1 and 5
  21. Nice one Ian, good to have the zed recognized as something special, hope you get a chance for some good pics
  22. Oh the sunshine, makes everything look so peachy lol, see theres a bloody Spar shop in the background, they get everywhere lol
  23. Window amp in the door, likely needs a resolder on one of the pins, i had the same thing not long ago.
  24. Welcome to the club mate, hope you learn all you need. I bet there arent too many zeds where you are lol
