What the hell is with the parts market for the z32
There are alot of traders on that list who do similar or same products, which is fine for a large member or car base club, the problem with having too many of the same type of trader here, there would not be enough business to warrant being a trader here. Having an exclusive trader (to a certain degree) here makes it more viable for them to operate, thats not to say healthy competition isnt a bad thing, it may bring down prices for parts, but for OEM parts for example there isnt a huge mark up in the first place. We have 14 traders, two of which are on the same list. Always on the lookout for more that would be suitable for the club

powder coated plenum
There should be no blisters at all if it was prepared properly before coating, you are going to see that once its fitted and have to explain to everyone who sees it, what happened, aside from the threads, you are going to have problems down the line after the heat has hit it and the first thing to deteriorate is where the blisters have formed. You shouldnt have to hide anything lol, the whole idea is to show it off in its full glory lol Take it back and get them to do it again or get your money back, i wouldnt be happy at all with a poor finish.

twinz orders issue
Thats where a contract or formal legal agreement is put into place to prevent that from happening. Im totally with the feeling of the Twinz regarding letting anyone else in on their baby, but if it creates more business with minimum risk and effort, then surely its worth a discussion.

twinz orders issue
We have a top FRP guy here on the forum CarMad, whose quality is superb, but it would depend on your stipulations and conditions to make it a viable proposition. He could make a sample of one of your products for your inspection, then you can decide from there. As stated in previous threads, your product quality has never been in doubt and i know after reading many threads that the community is pretty much together on the opinion, now its availability and a workable price in the UK. By the way i had an email from Twinchip recently, initially promoting the Twinz products, but alas had no reply from my email back to them, i guess if we dont allow them cartblanche on making all of their Twinchip products available for sale, then they are not interested.

What the hell is with the parts market for the z32
I can see that you are really frustrated lol, but everything in your 10 point bulletin has an easy answer and most have been covered on numerous occasions and before i personally answer each one ( to my knowledge) i will give others a chance to air their views. "I really hope you realise that I'm not trying to stir the pot or put down the previous work done" And no not at all :thumbup1:

Anyone seen this?
Not keen on that specifically, but admire the workmanship and imagination

What the hell is with the parts market for the z32
Im looking forward to this 10 step action plan, i think you may be surprised what has been done not only behind the scenes, but more recent media promotion regarding the z32. I wait with anticipation....... Any suggestions that we as a club can do to lift the profile is only a good thing and welcomed, but lets make this a positive and proactive thread. We have very good relations with the zclub and in partnership promote all events and meets, but also not to forget that we have had one of the longest winters on record, so im sure as soon as that bright light in the sky decides to show itself a bit more often, then members are also more likely inclined to attend meets and events.

What the hell is with the parts market for the z32
Mike Feeney (MJP) is our Nissan parts trader and unless a part has been discontinued he can get it and usually at a good price. Engine parts are not that difficult to get hold of, but trims and body parts new are, because they are simply not made anymore. Nissan garages/dealers are not interested in stocking 20 year old car parts, they push the latest models and make their money on aftersales for new cars. As far as meets go, there are REO's for most regions, but when meets are arranged there is little support from members, either commitments, money or car not ready is an issue. The current economic climate has been a major factor in everyday life, so having the luxury of owning and running a classic sports car is pushed lower on the list of priorities for some.

I will be bringing the halogen patio heater this year as it got cold at night, didnt bring it last year, didnt think we needed it (we did lol) as the year before that the generator was a single item use at a time only, where as the large one we are having this year is perfect. Need a bigger fridge Ian, its not worth hiring one, maybe get a second hand one locally far cheaper.

Falken 452's

Kangaroo car
Thats good, not release bearing or input shaft, although cant rule the shaft out just yet. How did you check the prop? Lets try and eliminate some usual suspects in the drive line that are non engine related to see if it can be pinpointed. Gearbox mount, prop centre bearing, input shaft on gearbox. Does it feel similar to when the engine labours in the wrong gear, ie as you are rolling to a corner, then pulling away in third or for instance as you are coming to a stop and leaving dipping the clutch till the last minute before stalling.
-
Kangaroo car
With the engine on and box in neutral, do you get like a release bearing rattle and it disappears when you depress the clutch? Secondly, roll along at a slow speed, in second gear and let the car either try to pull along or about to come to a stand still, if its the input shaft, you will get a slight judder, kangaroo effect, drop the clutch in then out again and you will hear the clunking.
-
Kangaroo car
Could be the input shaft on the gearbox, as Mark said if its sloppy, it will feel like kangerooing as you described, mine is similar and i know thats the problem with mine, doesnt bother me too much. New box or rebuild if it is that though bud.

Can I remove front fogs?
front fogs are not part of the mot test, so makes no difference whether you had them or not

Speedo fault
I have a few speedo spares so if it all goes tits up, you can have a replacement dial.
-
Speedo fault
The plastic needle has tiny ribs inside the centre, which aids its mount to the spline of the speedo, so forcing the needle against the spline might damage the needle. If you can get the needle off, put the clocks back in the car and wire up plugs, then turn the ign on, then replace needle over the spline at the stopper. Before you put the dash back together, give it a test, if its still out, try again with plan B lol
