Hi guys,

 

Got my plenum picked up for the 3rd time today,

After they did a really crap job.

 

Its better but still not right his had it about 6wks and getting bored of telling him what I want, he says he will phone me once finished but never does.

Have to send misses there cause his shut by the time im home from work, she goes there and they say its done she gets it home and has to take it back cause its still crap, has said 3times in a row like this lol.

 

The studs what hold balance bar some how all the threads are gone, dont ask me how.

Its full off shot too, which worrys me..

 

So do I keep it fix studs, clean it out and live with it, or send it back let him keep plenum and get spare plenum I have done somewhere else.

Blisters are still on closest leg on the right, rest looks pretty good.

Have these what I could hide it with, was wondering where to put them or do u think it looks shite,

There should be no blisters at all if it was prepared properly before coating, you are going to see that once its fitted and have to explain to everyone who sees it, what happened, aside from the threads, you are going to have problems down the line after the heat has hit it and the first thing to deteriorate is where the blisters have formed.

 

You shouldnt have to hide anything lol, the whole idea is to show it off in its full glory lol

 

Take it back and get them to do it again or get your money back, i wouldnt be happy at all with a poor finish.

looks good to me terry...dont forget mate you are re-shelling your zed because it had a blister on the inner wing so maybe your being fussy:tongue::D

I know i was to fussy on engine bay but this is it the 1st time and still got blisters like this in it when phone has charged a bit I'll get closer pic.

 

Mikey paid around £100 for it was so long ago I forgot exact amount but somthing like £96.

That was 1st time managed to get a pic, stupid phone low battery no camera.

 

Its got better now really smooth finish but yhe only leg u really see the has this on it

That doesn't look good mate, and I would be pissed off too, but you've paid money for a job to be done and by the looks of it it hasn't !

 

Stick to your guns mate, coz you'll get even more pissed off down the line if you put that back on and have to look at it !!!

with the amount of heat in the engine bay pal those stickers wont last 2 mins. honest. and dont whatever you do put them on your door for god sake. haha

 

Thats a good point didn't think of the heat, then again way im going with the zed be lucky to start the bugger to get any heat lol.

 

And not going on the outside of car for sure...

I wouldn't bother taking it back again the guy is clearly incompetent or can't be arsed if he's messed it up 3 times! Personally I would get a refund, sell the plenum as it is if anyone is interested and send the other one off to a pro, ideally someone recommended.
