  1. Hi there - welcome. The autos fine - you should probably get an extra oil cooler if you get an import auto. If you hunt hard you should find a nice one for £3K - for £5K you can get a really nice one.
  2. Obviously check out the rest of the car if it's been sat all that time - seized bits and stuff. Could be a bargain though. Make sure you have a bit of cash in reserve just in case.
  3. The Elise has no LSD. I think the VX doesn't either. If you drive them fast (and there's no point in having one if you don't) you'll probably spin it. I'd still like the VX turbo though.
  4. Well, I think you can bring a 97 onwards car in but you'd need a model report of SVA or something that cost a stack of cash. If it was that easy to import a nice, clean, cheap, late car we'd all do it. If you import any car you have to add on costs for shipping, taxes, dock fees, swamp insurance etc etc. I'm not saying it's not worth doing, it's just not quite as cheap as it first seems.
  5. You can't bring in late ones now - it's the law!
  6. Slicktops, three for a pound, three for a pound.
  7. The people most impressed by mine seem to be children and men who work in kebab shops.
  8. I've always thought the Z32 was one of the best looking cars ever. It's all down to taste I guess. I think the E-Type Jag is ugly and badly proportioned - yet most people would say it's one of the most beautiful cars of all time.
  9. Have to agree with BantamBunny there. Get yours mopped or whatever by a proper paint shop and it'll bring it up nice. Black is great but really shows the dirt. Mine's Skyline Purple which looks almost like black and it shows the dirt too - looks great in the sun when it is clean though.
  10. I way prefer the MKII with the faired in lights. The early pop-up light model looks like an MR2 from the front.
  11. Agreed. £12K is a lot for a raped H-plater but you might get an R or an S for £17-£20K which is slightly more reasonable. Autos are much cheaper too.

38bpm is about right for an olympic cyclist - or a hippo!
  13. Slicktop = cheapy! SlickPete's doesn't even have an interior it's that pikey! :p (also all slicktops were 2 seaters while all Z32s used in serious motorsport were 2+2!) :nana2:
  14. It's the drivers responsibility to have a working, accurate speedo. Manufacturers make them over-read as a safety margin. Almost none under read unless they're knackered / the owner has changed the wheels etc. While ACPO guidelines are 10%+2mph, some forces are 'zero tollerance' (north wales for example). If you're over the speed limit, you can be prosecuted, no exceptions no excuses.
  15. My chrome 18" wheels came with nice chrome valve caps. Two disappeared the other day. Probably kids nicked them. I'll just replace the lot with nasty cheap black plastic ones. It's a shame though - if I ever see someone nicking them they'd be getting a kick up the backside.
  16. The 'slicktop' was introduced as a cheaper alternative to targas part way through the Z32's production life. I like targas - as Royal says the Z32's no sports / track car. Each to their own though!
  17. The Jag's a nice car. Not pretty imho but nice. Elise isa track car really - noisy, impractical. Plus no LSD so drive heard and you'll probably spin it. How about an Integra DC5? Best of all worlds! Or a V6 Clio.
  18. Can you think of one that rhymes with 'orange' then?
  19. That's not an enduro, that's a stolen road bike.
  20. 500s never came with an alloy frame
  21. Ouch - your car looks gorgeous too (well, looked). The silly cow!
  22. Could be up for something. I'm east anglia which is neither mids or SE. Generally on Fridays and Saturdays I get high on coke and give a prostitute a beating but I can always make an exception. ;)
  23. Scoops, Scoops, Scoops.... violating your parole conditions again - grifting down the multi-storey. :nono:
