  1. The look nice but I have to say I like the original four pipe look.
  2. That sounds ace. I'd be up for that, dates permitting.
  3. Rear is nice but I don't like the vented front. Too fussy IMHO.
  4. The 2-stroke / 4 stroke thing isn't a hard and fast rule. I had an RMX250 last year which was an enduro bike based on Suzuki's motocrosser, the RM250. Both are 2-strokes. Motocrossers all used to be two strokes but now they're all four strokes.
  5. It's a trail bike or an enduro bike. ;)
  6. Craig David's dirt bike terminology lesson ;) Motocross bike - no lights, designed to race round short dirt circuits Enduro bike - detuned motocrossers with lights. Almost road legal. Race longer cross country races, often on paths with vehicular access. Trail bike - dirt capable bike to ride on paths / trails with vehicular access. Trials bike - wierd low thing like they used to have on Kickstart. For timed trials over obstacles with penalties for putting your foot down. Bunny hop over Volvos. I think a 'scrambler' can be any of the first three...
  7. Cool! I used to have an XL185S years ago. I love 70s trail bikes with their organic shaped exhausts and tiny headlights. Get it fixed up and going! I have a CBR600 Sport and a XR400 at the moment but I'd love a 70s trailie - XT500, XL500 or something for bopping about town. edit - if you need bits I bet Kenny up at Brassington could help. Or David Silver Spares.
  8. Bears? Bees? Bears with bees coming out of their mouths? edit - d'oh too slow!
  9. Not as hard as a angry orang-utan with a scythe ;)
  10. So I can unlock my wireless router and then look at dodgy stuff (no child porn - maybe how to manufacture crystal meth etc ) with impunity? ;) Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
  11. My money's on the Hippo. The polar bear is the largest land carnivore and very hard. But the hippo's four times as big and has an exceptionally large / vicious mouth. They often kill crocodiles.
  12. Until the bread runs out - then it'll turn on you, demanding more with it's cruel beak and evil, beady eyes. :smash:
  13. I didn't see what Greg put but he's removed it and appologised which is admirable. I hope your lady wasn't too offended Buddah and I hope she / you can forgive and forget. You're clearly an honourable man Buddah wanting to defend her and I think we all respect that too.
  14. It takes a big man to admit he's wrong and back down. Fair play to yer Greg.
  15. Ban them! (you know I'm joking Mike ;) )
  16. He's puking on the little pumpkin!
  17. I always mean to make a 'puking pumpkin' for Haloween. THis year I think I really will. I think the kids'll love it.
  18. I think there was some falling out with him and the clever lads a long time ago.
  19. They're quite light - it's all the rust and pop rivets ;)
  20. I never thought this place was ban-happy. Just it was a shame Chunk was banned (for whatever reason) as he was a pillar of the 300zx.co.uk community IMHO. Not having a go at you at all Mike - I'm all for openess.
  21. I'd grass him up anyway, anonymously. He's got his hand in everyone's pocket and it's taking the p1ss. (ps - 1.5K income tax a month  )
  22. ww.moneysavingexpert.com has an excellent section on mortgages. Also look out for the redemption penalites - the amount you pay if you want to 'get out' of the mortgage before the agreed period (usually 2-5 years) is up. Beware the fees too - £500-£1000 doesn't sound much when you're talking tens or hundreds of thousands - but most mortgages go back to the base rate after 2-5 years and you generally then need to swop to another mortgage - and pay the fees again. My advice is get a variable rate one - fixed ones generally cost a bit more - the banks know when the interest rates will go up. Yes you get peace of mind but you pay for the privelege. The interest rate will probably go up 0.25% twice in the next 6 months-a year. And don't be tempted by all the extra insurance they sell with it - critical illness, redundancy, life cover etc - if you read the small print they don't pay out for long if you do claim and they're INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE. If you do want them, you can probably get them cheaper elsewhere. We've just got a new mortgage for a new house and we're with Abbey National, tracking just below the bank of england basae rate at 4.64% - we had quite a big deposit though which helped. We also took it over 22 years rather than 25 - the shorter the term, the more you pay each month but you pay A LOT less interest overall. If you want to work out payments depending on how much you borrow etc, try this mortgate calculator: http://www.bbc.co.uk/homes/property/mortgagecalculator.shtml Don't worry - interest rates won't reach 12%!
  23. If someone's genuinelly unable to work, I think the community should support them. But there's a lot of folks fiddling that system. I blame the Government. Scrawni for PM.
