I used it on my Mac at work when I was employed. OS X is good but far from perfect. Less suceptible to viruses etc but not that much better than windows. With the grief of getting it to run on a PC I don't know if it's be any better to be honest.

Sorry to hear you've been made redundant. It happened to me about a year ago. The redundancy's tax free :) I started working for myself. I now work less hours, make more money and pay less tax. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. If you fancy the cabinet making and it'll work go for it! Faint heart n'er won fair maid and all that.

I've just been to the post office. As always there was a massive queue of people getting enormous giros for doing f all. I head the other day that social secuity = 110% of income tax in this country. So each hard working tax payer fails to support each scrounger. I'd bulldoze them all into a pit no exceptions - the yo-yo knickered single mothers, foreigners clutching hand-outs, people paying for household bills with some sort of stamps, disastrous old people who insist on talking to the woman behind the counter for five minutes - basically all the stinking, hopeless dross I have to queue up behind in the post office. :smash:

Eeek - that doesn't sound good. I don't think everyone who went to the Pod feels like that. Maybe you should see the doctor - dizzy spells aren't nothing.

I think the other countries see the Brits as a bit posh and lah-di-dah. Is that true? Probably not. And generalisations about other races and religions probably aren't true either and we risk offending people even if we just joke about it. (Except the Welsh who are clearly all insane ;) )

Sorry to hear abot the potential expense. At least it'll look great when it's done. (and I'm not one to say 'I told you so' but ummm... I did say they'd never get the match right)

I've been to Japan a few times and I'm always impressed by the people and their culture. Very advanced. Very cruel too maybe but very advanced. I don't know much about the Chinese but human rights in China are terrible and the people are hard working.

Melton would be great for me - I think a couple of members live there too. I wasn't trying to get everyone to change the venue just to suit me! But you can if you want.
