Prague is only 500 miles of mainly autobahn (very, very easy in a day) from Amsterdam / Hoek Van Holland. Nurburgring is probably on the way. Much closer than the south of France and no road tolls. I'm doing it on a bike in May next year but continuing to Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia and maybe more.

It'll probably all be fine - and your Zed will be a famous one in a film.

Top Gear is in a different league - compare the production values (lighting, editing etc) TG must spend 5-10 times as much money per episode as 5th Gear.

1) I'd drive straight away - gets the oil moving about. No thrashing it for maybe 10 miles though - even thought the water's warm, the oil may not be. 2) Not sure - Id imagine once the turbo's (if you have them) have stopped spinning it'd be fine to turn off. My temp gauge never goes above the 'normal' position. 3) People will tell you different things - I thin Vinz checked somewhere officail and it was quite high 36f 39r or something. 4) don't know sorry. Enjoy the car! If it's going to break you, you can always break it first!

It is higher than I'd expect. Who knows with ebay though.

Hi Vigon It's a big job - you need more than just the engine. I think you're looking at about £3000-£5000 to do the conversion including parts and labour.

So sorry to hear that - you must be stunned. I hope you get it back in good condition. It's a very unique car and the 300ZX 'scene' isn't that big so someone will have a hard time shifting it on. I'll keep my eyes peeled for sure.

The other day I was driving and first some kids came out of a shop to look at it as they'd seen it on their playstation game. Then later another kid shouted 'nice car mister' as I drove past. It certainly seems to impress kids. Kids and blokes who work in kebab shops - they absolutely love it and almost always have a mate with some wheels to sell for it.
