Anybody tried one of those 'Beartrap' things that claps onto your oil filter then ? $20 + carriage seems good value, if it actually works !

Scum ! :mad: Please excuse my ignorance, but what's a Pikey ? :confused: Wouldn't help the car much there but I always keep a disposable camera handy in the car (mainly to take photos of the car/road in case I'm involved in an RTA - means they can't lie about where their car was to the insurance co. !). At least if you've got photos of the scum you can keep a watch out for them, even if the Feds won't accept them as evidence ! Really heavy/knobbly walking stick's always too in those situations ! ;)

The govt couldn't care less about green issues - it's just their excuse to extort even more money from us :mad: Considering that WELL over 2/3 of the cost of every tank of fuel goes to Whitehall the best way to show the strength of the motorist would be for everyone to leave the car at home for a day. The loss in revenue would cost them countless £millions, hurting them where it counts and it would be totally legal - in fact we'd be doing exactly as they're always spouting that we should do ! :cool: Just a thought !

Had mine for five years and the novelty hasn't worn off yet ! :D :D Condition is important but even if you're not too bothered about the rest of the history you HAVE to ensure it's at least had regular oil & filter changes. These aren't cars that you can skimp on servicing with, nor are they cars you can just budget for initial cost, fuel, insurance etc - they can cost a lot to maintain ! If you do plan to get your father to work on it then do him a favour and get the workshop manual on CD rom for a tenner from the Zcentre ! ;) Good luck - konrad !

Leave it a day or two to settle before you worry too much ! Changed my Lancia on Koni shocks and hardened springs many many years ago and it took a couple of days to settle down to the correct ride height - the gap under the arches make it look like a Fiat Panda for a while ! :D

I've used 'Gunk Driveway' before and that did quite a good job ! Didn't totally remove the stain but then it was a really old/soaked in oil patch. Cost about a fiver from Motor World. :cool:

Best way to make our tail lights better would be an option without the reflectors, which look like they were stuck on as an afterthought ! 99 spec tail lights (with the clear indicators) look a bit more modern without looking like a ricer ! ;)

I stand corrected :o I was just going on what Pulling Power said about the 240 being the biggest selling sports of all time when they did that special on Z's (and I only remember that episode so well 'cause my Z32 was in it; hence I taped it)
