Stillen type 3 ? Good choice mate ! :D just to warn you though (if your Z's a 2+2 that is) you're also gonna have to spend some time modifying the legs to fit. The wing's actually designed for the 2 seater ! Looks and works a treat when it's on right though ! :D konrad

Absolutely Unbelieveable
I remember seeing a figure for calculating just how little spending money you actually earn in a year, something less than a quarter of what you think you earn, if I remember right ! After income tax, VAT, savings tax, NI contributions, petrol tax, road tax, pension tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, import duties, insurance tax, airport tax, tv licence etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc !! Means you're working for sod all basically ! And in case you want to work a little harder and make more money, they tax you at your maximum rate for any overtime    I REALLY hear you Blue !

Radar Detectors
Think you might struggle to find the Bel 550 in the states as it was designed for the Eurine market. It was based on the 990 though (which works a treat :D ). The 990 has all the bands that the 550 does, plus the yank ones. They're all switchable though so I get no more false alarms than my mate's 550. If you do get one I'll dredge out the list of bands want to turn off ! konrad

RLTC Group buy

Manual Gearbox question
That's the Full Throttle Shift. It's just an extra 100 notes; which seems a bargain if it does all that's promised ! I'll let you all know once mine's on !

Manual Gearbox question
As I understand it (hearsay only at the moment mind!) you set the Racelogic to whatever revs you decide you want and it sets the engine to that whenever you press the clutch. I don't see how it could tell the difference between clutching to change up and changing down. I reckon if you set it to say 2.5/3,000 revs then it shouldn't go any lower than that when you're changing down ? Could change my mind once I get the instructions though ! :D

Manual Gearbox question
Had you not been able to find the gear in 10 seconds or so you might have had a problem there then ! ;) :D
-
Manual Gearbox question
Hadn't though of it that way ! :)

Manual Gearbox question
Sort of hoping the Full Throttle Shift will help there, once the Racelogic arrives. Figure it'll give quicker launch times, and help protect the gearbox when coming back down through the gears. Well, that's the plan anyway ! :D

Manual Gearbox question
Cheers mate - and welcome ! :) The oil has only just gone in, as has the gearbox - until a few weeks back my Z was automatic ! Just wanted to make sure everything was as it should be - never having driven a manual Z. Cheers konrad

Manual Gearbox question
Nice to know it's not just mine though ! Thanks !

Manual Gearbox question
I sort of expected it to myself. It needs quite a push to get it into first when still rolling, like when coming up to a red light. Goes in ok when stopped, and even when rolling still doesn't cruch or anything, just requires quite a push ! Do you reckon it could just be a function of the new uprated clutch, or maybe the quick-throw gearstick somehow ? Cheers ! konrad

Manual Gearbox question
Anyone know if the box have synchromesh for first gear ? Ta !

Rip
Yesterday's Leicester Mercury's front page featured a fatal RTA involving a white 300 and a tree. It seems the passenger didn't make it. I guess it's easy to feel sort of invulnerable in a Z; it being so heavy and strong, but trees almost always come off best. Perhaps we should all spare a moment to hope the driver pulls through ok !
