Reagrding 1 piece aluminium manual driveshaft
Also found this link - http://www.ctgltd.co.uk/technology.php?id=41&title=CTG+TORQline%99+Propshafts+and+Driveshafts Tried mailing them but haven't had a response yet. Might help if I give them an idea of numbers that might be interested (if they haven't already built one for a Z) Looks like 4 possibles so far..... :)

I guess it's like a lightened flywheel; you gain both from the decreased weight overall and from the reduced power spent rotating it. You're also supposed to get less vibration due to having no centre bearing, although I seem to remember a thread saying someone still got that. Would still like some more input from existing users though.

Starter motor
Hi Colin, just before you scrap it.....did it make the usual starter motor screech/grind, or did it just make a rapid tapping noise ? Mine recently did that when it had been sat for a month or so in the garage and the battery had dropped enough charge to not turn it sufficiently. As soon as I charged the battery up it was fine, and hasn't caused any problems since ! Apparently it's quite common for them to do it when the battery runs down !

NSX.....Naaaaaa
Not wrong ! I got toasted by one a few years back at Oulton Park; and to add insult to injury the guy driving it was easily in his 70's :o

Timing Belt Snapped
Were you idling or booting it when it snapped mate ? You may well find that if it was under about 2k revs (ie before the variable valve timing kicks in) you haven't done any damage. Fingers crossed !

SE RR Day part 3 FFS:D
I'm a lazy git with quite a way to travel so there's no chance I'll make it to SE first! Got the postcode for the rollers though if anyone else needs it to get directions off multimap - CM83DR, in Witham. Their number's 01376502522. It's only half a mile or so off the A12. Are the magazine guys there all day ?

Where's it gone ?
I understand the forum can't afford/doesn't want to get itself into a litigation situation but I also strongly feel it would benefit us all to see feedback (both good and bad) about all of the traders represented on the forum and then make up our own minds. Zs cost an arm and a leg to run so you need to know you're shelling out money to the right guy. I'm certainly in favour of moderators nuking potentially slanderous posts but most of us would be more than happy to give positive feedback where due, and keep to the facts when posting negative feedback. I would REALLY like to see a sticky thread for feedback at the top of each trader's forum to allow potential customers to get a balanced view before stumping up the dough. I reckon most, if not all, of our traders will get plenty of positive feedback, so it won't be all doom and gloom. I've been pretty lucky myself with my Z dealings and have nothing but positive feedback for Luke (Zcentre), Jonathon (GPS), Jeff (Zedworld) and Smithy (Cybercraft). I'd also recommend Bob Ford at Arriva Nissan in Peterboro (although you have to pay Nissan prices; obviously  ). I haven't dealt with any of the others, as I recall, so can't say nowt !

confused please help
Alternatively put in a conversion chip behind the dashboard which'll convert your speedo to MPH and derestrict your Z. See Luke at http://www.zcentre.co.uk :)

Z centre 'VENOM' rears
There'll soon be some photos just like that on here as there's one in at Frank's having the Venom's fitted with a black surround to match the centre panel and perspex cover onto a grey Z at the moment :) Best to hold off for a week or two to see the pictures - I reckon they'll look a whole lot better in black !

Gearknobtastic !
50 notes, and I think they only come in red, blue and black. Probably wouldn't be too hard to re-enamel in the colour though ?
