  1. Went for the Clifford Concept 600 myself when my old Piranha Cat 1 packed up. Have to have a Cat 1 for my insurance. Clifford are great, but if you have BlackJax fitted then get them to give you an extra keypad dingus, the thing with 2 buttons and some fancy name. Mine went faulty after 6 months which meant the Z was stuck in the garage for a fortnight immobile while I got a new one sent. Even if you have to buy one - should only cost a couple of squid.
  2. Following on from putting them in each Monday's Evening Post those nice people at the council have given us a site publishing forthcoming locations of the mobile speed traps in and around Nottingham - http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/pr/home/traffic_and_travel/roads/mobilespeedcameras.htm Drive safely !
  3. You'll usually find that UK cars are more prone to rusting due to 10 years or more of excessive salt on the roads (they use volcanic ash instead of salt in Japan). Most Jap spec Zs are undersealed just as well as the UK ones, but it can't hurt to give them some extra protection. For full protection you need to get the waxoyl etc inside the panels too, as they can rust from the inside out due to water seepage. If you take enough trim off you'll find some holes you can use for access; better than drilling new ones like some underseal places do ! Best to get the car steam cleaned underneath first then let it stand for a day or two to dry. The Z club magazine does advertise some device that electronically prevents rust but I don't know anyone that's tried one You could always go the whole hog like I did and dry line and insulate the garage then put in a heater and a dehumidifier. You know it makes sense ;)
  4. I've had several repairs done in the past, all with no problem ! I did plan to put new rubber on before I took it on track though....but then forgot and did 30 laps at Donnington  Still no problems ! :)
  5. Same as yours Matz ! Wot a surprise huh ? :D
  6. Having had to drive a new Renault Migrane for a while as a courtesy car I noticed that girlies do seem inordinately impressed with the push button starting  Not that there's usually a problem there, driving a Z, of course ! :D
  7. OMG !! They don't hold up to side impact too well, do they ?! Anyone heard of aftermarket side impact strengthening ? After those pics I'd even consider a roll cage !!
  8. Oh, and just to try and quiet those alarm bells - all the RLTC's are sat in a pile in Luke's storeroom, well.... minus my two anyway !
  9. No mate, not you - don't worry ! Another lad lost his car :( I'm heading up to Luke's either tomorrow or Thursday so I'll ask him to give you a bell then ! I guess he was probably busy getting sorted for Billing last week; especially since he's just bought a SWB Z32. Sorry mate ! konrad
  10. Andy, it's really worth playing about with the tyre pressures. Found I had to drop mine a bit, but once I found the right level they're superb ;) I'm running 245 & 255 45 17s at 33 front and 35 rear, which is lower than the pressures for the standard wheel/tyre setup, I seem to recall ?
  11. Mate - avoid car washes like the plague - that's how you get the ice-rink effect on your paintwork with loads of swirls in the paintwork. Use a decent cellulose sponge and car shampoo (never fairy liquid !!). It's your pride and joy man - it deserves some TLC ;) If you keep it's coat of polish well topped up it'll only take a few minutes to wash it !
  12. Just the one number I'm afraid, but don't worry mate - he will return your call ! I'll mention you're trying to get in touch when I speak to him next anyway ! konrad
  13. You might also want to try http://www.zcentre.co.uk Luke sells stuff for all the Z range, I believe - 0115 9676356
  14. Anybody with a Porsche ;) :D
  15. Group buy over, at long last !! Go phone Luke then pray for rain - loads & loads of rain :D
  16. They do sound great but they make 300's look ultra reliable! A contractor here had his engine blow at 15,000 miles due to some problem or other with the camshaft. TVR said it was a known fault; and paid a third of the repair bill  He only brought it to work 3 times that I know of and it broke down twice :( And give me a Viper for engine sound anyday ;) :D
  17. I think Luke normally keeps a couple in stock ! I think it's quite common for them to go. 0115 9676356

  19. http://www.zcentre.co.uk Nice polyurethane ones for less than you'd have paid at the main dealer ;) Look under suspension.
  20. Racelogic are sending out the units to Luke this afternoon, so expect a call early next week ! We'll just need some rain then ;) :D
  21. Racelogic are sending all of the units out to Luke this afternoon, so expect a call early next week ! Bring it on !! konrad
  22. Mine used to seep when I used Mobil 1. Great oil, but just too thin for mid-life engines ! :(
  23. Haven't settled on a set of side skirts that I like yet, but here it is as it stands. Not got any pictures of the spoiler from the rear quarter, I'm afraid. Somwhow I don't think you'll be disappointed though ;)
  24. Hi Dickens ! I bought some off Luke myself a couple of months back. He fitted one side for me, to show me how it's done and I did the other when I got it home. It's really quite easy once you're shown ! They look sooooo much better now ! I've got to speak to Luke myself so I'll try and pass on your number too ! konrad
  25. Anyone know how much that colour shifting paint is from Nissan ? Never thought much of it on the Primera's but it's growing on me after watching that :)
