  1. Thought the 240Z was the best ever selling sports car ? Mainly on the basis that it outrun the porch of the time :D They were certainly well rated, hence why they're trying to revive it's heritage and image now
  2. I went for the Mongoose option, which I actually got from the Zcentre. You keep the quad look, although they are slightly larger than the standard ones, certainly not Max Power stylee though ;) The sound is great; at low revs/speeds they're not much louder than the standard ones, although a fair bit deeper. Under full throttle they sound fantastic :D Another good thing about them is the fittings are the same as standard so you can keep the cats or not; whatever you choose. Personally I'd bin the cats immediately though - you free up about 15 horses apparently and get rid of the foul stench to boot ! konrad
  3. If the reverse indiglow dials are black with illuminated digits etc then might as well go for normal backlit ones, I reckon, which can then be different colours during the day and at night. With the dual benefits of being able to specify what logos I want (and don't want!) on the dials and having a uk supplier that I've dealt with many times before I think I'll go for Luke's option, and save on the waiting time too ! Guess I'm luckier than most living in Nottingham, so close to Luke. Means I can nip across and see products before I buy ;)
  4. Sorry to confuse you all even further, but I've just been on the phone to Luke at the Zcentre. He offers dials of any colour combination, ie silver dials with blue characters and a red redline zone on the tacho. He already has the templates made up, along with characters such as 'Z', '300ZX', Nismo, and can put these characters where we like on the dials. He can also create one or two other logos if required, ie 'twin turbo', or even the new 350z 'Z' logo. We wouldn't all need to have the same colour combinations, just not too many choices of logo between us. He'd also have no problem supplying different options for TT's and non-turbos as he supplies one large dial for NAs rather than the same one as a TT with a blanking plate in the gap, so on a NA you don't see a gap at all. You can see one option of his dials on the Zcentre site, but remember he can change the colours, the logos, and remove the KPH scale so that the logos fit better. Another thing he pointed out is that the UK and Jap spec gauges are NOT quite the same. Apparently the 180 mark on a uk spec is in the same place as the 190 mark on a jap spec, so one design will not be completely accurate for both models. Luke has different templates for Jap and UK spec Zs. If you have aftermarket boost gauge, or an NA you can have the speedo speeds extend up to 200mph !!! Needle will go that far ! This would be extra unless there are about 10 people who go for this option. Luke says £75 + vat (£88) for the dials, and £30 if you want him to fit them for you. Delivery time will depend on artwork and colour but should be approx 4 weeks. Cheers ! konrad
  5. It would make a great second car though - something to use for work and keep the mileage off your main car ;)
  6. I've got a mate with a chipped one + big exhaust etc (280bhp supposedly). Still went down to my Z though, although he did put up quite a fight; what with it being a lot lighter and all that ! He gets more trouble getting traction off the lights than I do, but we'll both have Racelogic on soon so that won't be an issue My Z's running at 330 horsies, so I guess neither are quite standard, but hey !
  7. Plus with you being an Aussie company I don't reckon you'll get much trade from people seeing your logo and giving you a bell. IMHO you'd get your extra trade from other Z owners looking in our cars at shows and asking us where we got the dials from ! ;)
  8. Phone banking's pretty secure - I've been transferring money that way for years ! I'll still need your banking details but I could always phone you for those too ? Cheers ! konrad
  9. Yeah - that sucks ! Wish I'd taken up Bob Ford (at Arriva Peterboro) on his offer to put me on the list as soon as it came out ! Probably have been able to sell my reservation for a markup, and if not they could have sold it easily ! Makes the one's that do come in more prestigious though ! ;)
  10. Likewise - please count me out too ! :(
  11. Guessing that the majority of us are driving TT versions could you maybe supply the optional extra cost of 'twin turbo' on the tacho please instead of 'Z' which will be a bit redundant if we have 300ZX in the speedo ? Sorry to be a pain mate but can you also confirm Bobby's point about making the red line on the tacho red too? Cheers ! konrad
  12. Don't know about 3-4 years Stuart; I reckon about September when the 350's on general release ! ;) :D :D Don't reckon we'll see many new TiTis on the road then !
  13. Hmm... good point !
  14. Can we confirm if we all need to have exactly the same design on ? I'd rather not have them plain - the Z logo looks quite good IMHO although I'd prefer '300ZX' or 'twin turbo' - preferably one on the speedo and the other on the tacho ? Cheers !
  15. The dials do look the business mate ! Can you just confirm though that the speedo will have the 'Z' logo or '300ZX' or preferably 'twin turbo' or something similar rather than 'Dials'. Then I'd certainly be interested !
  16. Yeah, it seems Racelogic have just supplied a large order to the US and are currently out of some of the components. They say it could be 6 - 12 weeks :( Like yourself I'm desperate to get it fitted, but I guess I'm going to have to wait a little longer ! :( Cheers ! konrad
  17. Raced a porsche with the sticker, 'My other car's a Porsche.... too!' - how's that for arrogant ? :D Didn't stop him being outrun by a 300ZX though ! :D
  18. Just read your thread - that sucks mate ! So from what the Fed said it's ok to stab someone and give their girlfriend a kicking if they provoke you ? FFS ! Hope you and the missus have a speedy recovery !
  19. Hi Paul, if you haven't managed to contact Luke yet then you can PM me with your contact details if you like; I'll make sure you get added to the list ! Cheers ! konrad
  20. Worth trying Hiteq in Wigan (Skyline specialist). They keep them when they do an upgrade - not cheap though ! Don't have the number; I'm afraid !
  21. Oops - sorry Paul ! :o
  22. Oh - and if you want some testimonials on the system just do a 'search' on Racelogic, or traction control from the tab at the top of the page !
  23. £540 inc VAT, adjustable slip control and launch control, a huge saving on the Racelogic RRP ! The adjustable slip control means you can pre-set different slip settings, for both wet and dry conditions ie set 0% slip for wet roads and 10% slip for dry roads for safe, controlled sideways action. The launch control sorta speaks for itself !! ;) :D :D If you want it fitted that £100 inc VAT, but if you're a bit a DIY fanatic there are plenty of people on the site who've got it and are happy to advise on fitting. Like Paul said though - if you want it at this price then you'll need to phone Luke REALLY sharpish as we've now got enough people to go ahead with the group buy; so as soon as the order's dispatched I guess that'll be it for the discount price ! Cheers ! konrad
  24. Or just remove the Ice altogether to get an even better power to weight ratio ! V6 24V twin turbo with a Mongoose Exhaust is all the music you'll ever need :D :D
  25. Like I said - just about the weight of your car, doesn't it ?
