  1. Chimaera's are easy game - probably a Griffiths 500; you do need your seatbelt in that ! If you keep 'em in sight for a couple of miles you're usually ok 'cause it's bound to break down :D Colleague has a Tuscan. It's done 17,000 miles and it's just come back from TVR having had an engine rebuild. They did pay for 40% as it's a known fault. 40% ???? He's also previously had a new rad and water pump from previous breakdowns - and we thought we had problems ! :D If you want a big-engined rocket buy a Viper - now they DO sound good ! ;)

How about beavers ? Often come across them when cruisin !
  3. Star ! :D :D :D If anyone else is still considering, just remember it's easy to remove and refit to another car if you ever have to sell your z !! Traction Control for life ! You know it makes sense ;)

That price seems REALLY good ! I take it they have quoted you for the one listed for an auto z ? (you need quite a quick to turn the 3 litres over when you can't clutch it, obviously!). As a comparison I paid about £85 for a Bosch one a couple of years back; although to be fair I did get the uprated listing battery. Perhaps they just saw me coming ?
  5. You can get about 30mpg on a motorway with cruise control switched on. Mostly 15-18 round town though, but then if you wanted fuel economy you'd be buying a Robin Reliant eh ? ;)

Hope you have years of fast, safe fun with it mate ! If you do decide to take Stuart's advice and go for the traction control option then we've got a group buy going at the mo ! (several hundred quid off the RRP!). ;) Just use the search tab to scan the forum for all the threads about Racelogic Traction Control to see other drivers' views ! In the meantime don't boot in the wet, at least 'til you get used to it. Your first powerful RWD usually catches you out at least once, until you know what to expect !! PS. sorry to sound like Grandad ! :D konrad
  7. Sorry about that Jay - I've tried to get hold of Jonathon several times today without success ! So long as Luke's looking after you ! :o Cheers !
  8. Jay, I'll find out for you mate ! Do you want the fitted price, and if so what car is it to be fitted to ? konrad
  9. Most manufacturers give you 1 gallon of reserve fuel (so I reckon about 8 miles under 'normal' driving ! :D )

The Zcentre (http://www.zcentre.co.uk) on 0115 9676356 can sort you out with the clear tail-lights (or ones with clear indicators anyway; the 99 spec ones!) and also with the panel above the lights. I think he can also source the light up 300ZX centre, but I don't think they're cheap (about £300 I seem to recall) Cheers konrad
  11. The Jap specs don't have a gearbox oil cooler; one reason why they're more prone to auto box failure and why I'm now converting to manual. They do indeed feed the pipes into the bottom section of the radiator ! You can certainly put on a seperate oil cooler and take the pipes out of the radiator though; I did ! You can either get the small oil cooler of a UK spec, or from a dealer, or go for a larger uprated one to give your box a bit more of a chance. If you have a word with Luke at the Zcentre I think you'll find he sells the uprated ones ! :) Cheers ! konrad
  12. Haven't seen much tv footage of the crusades ! Was that recent then ? ;) Must have missed it ! :D Where are the Knights Templar when you need them ?
  13. I agree ! If there were to be a pro-war march I think the numbers would put the anti-war numbers in their true perpective ! ;)
  14. Mate, that looks awesome ! :D What did they do to shield the rear bumper from the heat of the exhausts; if there's metal in there they've done a seriously good job of disguising it !
  15. Takes a rider with big cahones to keep up through bends though ! :D :D
  16. Thanks Paul ! I didn't know about Z32 forum !
  17. Likewise Mike - I respect all of the coalition servicemen who are risking their lives for us over there ! I pray that we get all the POW's back before they're harmed any more, and that no more are taken ! Thank YOU !
  18. Mate's parents had one for years and swore by it. Never seemed to need much attention. They then bought a new jag and just swear at it ! :D
  19. 'kin awesome mate ! Money well spent ! :D :D :D
  20. So why can't either of you live in the Midlands then ? ;) Then again - don't answer that ! :D
  21. Nice one ! Do you want to give Luke a call at the Zcentre ? He's on 0115 9676356 Cheers Paul ! konrad
  22. I can certainly see why you'd want traction control on a 6R4 :D
  23. They could always put some jockey wheels on, couldn't they ? :) There's been no interest from there anyway - sorta makes sense now :)
  24. That's right - saves you a tenner ! :D Can't be bad ! Cheers konrad
