  1. Only £30 more than Zcentre huh ? ;) Do you know if they're charging £150 for fitting ?
  2. Jerry, are you comitted to having it already or can you still back out ? I've just posted a mail in general chat 'cause I mentioned traction control to Luke Borg whilst talking to him about my auto-manual conversion and he can undercut Torqueic on both parts and labour. Racelogic with Launch - £530 Fitting - £100 I can certainly recommend Luke too as I've had numerous bits off him in the past and had various bits of work done ! Hope this post catches you in time ! Cheers !
  3. I've just spoken to Luke at the Z Centre and providing we get a group of 10 or more he can sell us the Racelogic Traction Control with Launch Control for £530 inclusive. If you want it fitted then that's only an extra £100. It's even cheaper than Torqueic by £30, or £80 if you have it fitted! I'll also post on Scoobynet and the 200SX forum to try and up the numbers. Anyone interested ?
  4. Torgueic quoted me £150 for fitting when I enquired about the Supra group buy. Hopefully they've not jacked up the fitting price to compensate for the discount on parts they're giving us ! ;)
  5. Result ! that's bloody brilliant mate; good job ! :D Supra group buys suck ! Cheers Jerry !
  6. Alternatively rest some thick wooden planks part way up the ramps to make the angle a bit shallower (this trick worked when the AA had to put mine on a low-loader when my autobox turned to mush :( )
  7. No that makes sense - so changing O2 sensors can reduce fuel consumption and improve performance, and possibly reduce emissions too. Sounds like it's worth me changing them whilst the box is out then ! Cheers Stuart !
  8. If the fuel consumption goes down after replacing the oxygen sensors, suggesting that the fuel is being burnt more efficiently (methinks) I guess it should - 1. Improve performance 2. Reduse emissions ? Does that sound right ? Better yet; has anyone noticed it ? cheers !
  9. Kinace, do you happen to know if the £550 includes launch control ? The Supra group buy at £620 does, but if you reckon they'll do better than that for us then I'm more than happy to wait the extra month or so for our own group buy ? Cheers !
  10. Especially seeing as they hit the wrists with the handcuffs to get them on; they don't open them first if they're in a scuffle. Even if it was you, who cares ? He got what was coming to him ! If he hadn't started it he wouldn't have got hurt !
  11. This country's just too politically correct - it now protects the guilty and punishes the victims. If someone comes onto your property and causes damage to your family or property then they should be fair game ! In your case Mas it should have been up to the scum to prove that you broke his wrist, not for you to prove that you didn't, at least in a country which operated a JUSTICE system, rather than a LEGAL system ! 'Justice' would be to assess the situation and judge it fairly. The 'legal' system just works on precedents and the letter of the law, however unjust !
  12. Keep the volume low if you're at work ! Parental Advisory lyrics ! ! :-) http://www.rathergood.com/swearotron.html
  13. Do they actually expect us not to drive at all if you send your licence to DVLA ? They're 'aving a laugh ! It wouldn't be so bad if you could just get your licence updated at a VRO but it takes at least a fortnight to get a response from DVLA.
  14. First time I got stopped in my Z, a couple of weeks after I imported it, it was because the PNC check told them it was a 3 litre twin turbo Micra ! Good system ! :D Mind you - how much fun could you have in a 3 litre twin turbo Micra ???  :D
  15. Yeah, I do keep a record of all the delays etc. Normally you can claim compensation if your train is more than half an hour late but because I'm a season ticket holder I just get a small amount back at the end of the year if I can prove there's been frequent delays. I'm thinking that shouldn't be too hard !! :D Would REALLY like a secure free car park at work !!!
  16. On the subject of ranting - I HATE bl@@dy trains ! Just squeezed onto Robin Hood Central train like sardines to go home; far more crowded than London underground when I've been on that. We were then told to get off the train as they were going to attach another carriage. Once we've been waiting for a few minutes for this fictitious carriage (and other people have got on the train from the other end) they tell us there is no carriage, by which time we can't all fit on the train again ! Then they want to check my ticket before I can leave the station to come back to work!! EVERY train I've been on for the last month bar 1 has been late, some by up to 50 minutes and one nearly got derailed when we scraped along a dustbin lorry at a level crossing (a crossing which had already gone faulty once only a few weeks before; causing 3/4 hour delay then !) Public transport - f@@king excellent !
  17. I have trouble fitting the petrol myself :D :D :D but if it's that straightforward I might look at getting it done locally and save time and money then ! Cheers for the advice people !
  18. Cunning plan ! :) I'd have to check that Torqueic would sell it on a supply only basis but that could also maybe save me a long journey ! Anybody done them before ?
  19. Nice one - good tip ! I've spoken to Torqueic (where they're getting the group buy) and they're offering the system including lauch control for £620, with £150 for fitting. £100 saving on the Racelogic price ! :D Cheers !
  20. Pete, Zedworld mention sooty pipes in their 'Hints & Tips' section, number 5. They say it can sometimes be air filter or O2 sensor. They say go for an ECU check, or failing that an emissions check at a local MOT station.
  21. That's sort of what I figured ! How much did they jack it up by ? Also, does it cut much off your 0-60 ?
  22. Would look a lot better if they made them without those hideous reflectors stuck in the middle, or at least made the surface of the reflectors smooth and flush with the rest of the light !
  23. Did your insurance companies use it as an excuse to hike your insurance up, or were they ok about it ?
  24. Did he have the 'go-faster' stripes on his Kia though ? They can make all the difference when it's slippy ! :D
