MR2 Turbo
And you thought 300's were tail-happy !! :D :D :D Mate of mine's got one chipped up to 285bhp and he loves it ! He IS coming in on our traction control group buy though - the suspension on the turbo is uprated but they still have a tendency to slide about when you boot them without traction control. Sure he could get a z for the money though ! ;)

when ording from Courtesy (Texas)
The only bonus of USPS is that if the parcel is fairly small it usually comes straight through customs without incurring import duty and tVAT. Anything coming in via courier costs you an arm and a leg (they even add in the cost of the carriage to the value of the goods when working out the duty - WTF ???!!!) Like you've found though - it can take a while ;)

Tyre Pressure
If it's any help I've got 245-45-17 on the front at 33psi and 255-45-17 with 36psi at the back. You could always do like I did and phone your tyre manufacturer - Toyo were certainly very helpful !

Strange V5 wordings?
When I first registered mine the log book arrived for a 3 litre turbo Micra ! :D :D :D

Mitsubishi Evo Vs Zed
'course once you're both already rolling, like when he came up behind you, his 4 wheel drive is no longer much advantage; just a way of reducing bhp at the wheels :D ! If it's a nice open road then just go for it anyway !

Congestion Charge
Petrol tax is nearer 90% ! They're planning on the congestion tax here in Nottingham too, in addition to charging you to park at work (which comes in next year I think here). I love this country sooo much !

How much to join TTnet then ? Cheers !

Front caliper pistons
I've got my old calipers sitting complete in my garage, having upgraded to 6 pot AP Racing brakes. Like you say they work fine, except for on track (pulled into the pit lane at Oulton Park a couple of years back with no brakes at all ! :D ) Figure the postage to Scotland from Nottingham would probably cost more than they're worth though, 'cause they aint light !

Pic of new 350z soft top
Looks great for a rag-top ! Should appeal to MX5 drivers as well as TT drivers hopefully; anything that boosts the Z image has gotta be good for us !

Sorry to re-open an old wound but......
I've been warned that my Turbotechnics breather kit may damage my pride and joy ! Having done a search on the archives it seems most of the hostile comments relate to the group buy, and the fact that the hoses supplied were the wrong size. I had mine fitted long before the group buy and hopefully haven't had any problems caused by it. Quite to the contrary it's doing it's job just fine. Are there any telltale signs I should be looking out for ? I REALLY don't want my engine to go bang so soon after my gerabox ! Also, should I go for BOV's or recirc to replace it ? Cheers !

Decat Pipes
OK, having been warned by AndrewG to do a search on breather kits for the potential problems I see there's been a little bit of a discussion on this topic before :D Are there any telltale signs of impending problems once you've got these fitted ? Mine's been on for quite a wjile now and, as far as I can tell, has given me no adverse effects; only good ones. So... 1. What do I need to look out for 2. Which would be better to replace it with - BOV's or recirc ? Cheers !

Sorry Mike :D

Help with editing my profile
It doesn't appear in my profile either - perhaps it's like the custom avatar and only gets enabled after 250 posts ?

Detonation
You haven't recently changed your downpipes for non-cat ones have you ? Mine's made a noise a little like pinking ever since I did mine ! Despite the consult readings saying everything was ok I got paranoid about it and fitted an in-line octane booster just to make sure but the noise is still there. Bob Ford assures me it's just the breather pipes which have nowhere to connect to on my aftermarket downpipes, and that there's nothing to worry about !

Decat Pipes
Good news ! I had exactly the same problem after I changed my exhausts, caused by the sudden absence of back pressure to keep the oil in the turbos. However HiTech put me in contact with Turbotechnics who sold me a 'breather kit' specifically designed for this problem with the 300ZX. It cost about £120 I think and works a treat ! :D They're not a permanent solution as the turbo seals are obviously wearing, but it means you don't have to change your turbos as soon as you change your exhaust.

Racelogic Traction Control (incl Launch) for £530 !
My bad ! The price with both the adjustable slip AND launch control options is £540, including VAT, not £530. Still £20 less than Torqueic though ! Fitting still £100 inluding VAT, for those that want it fitted. The prices are dependant on getting 10 or more in the group buy though ! PS. he's looking into the cost of the Full Throttle Shift option. Cheers !

My bad ! It's actually £540 not £530, but that definately includes the adjustable slip AND launch control options ! Still £20 less than Torqueic. He's looking into the Full Throttle Shift price ! Fitting's still £100 for those that want it fitting ! Cheers ! konrad

Please help. part no req.
You're welcome mate ! Don't you just wish the one on the passenger side was identical ?

Please help. part no req.
Got bad news for you mate ! Mine went just recently too and every Nissan dealer I tried told me that the yellow plastic bit isn't sold separately - you have to buy an entire new lock ! Sucks huh ? My mechanic did manage to bodge it with some fancy metalwork though - and as I hardly ever use the key to unlock the door I haven't had any problems yet ! :)

fast and furious but beaten by a fiesta
RC - Traction control is £530 at the moment, including the launch control option. This is a couple of hundred squid saving on the rrp, as it's a group buy ! Speak to Luke at the Zcentre on 0115 9676356 :) Oh - and Toyo Proxes T1S tyres are nearly as good as S02s for a lot less dosh (and if you're still running on standard 16" rims you get a puncture guarantee with em too !)
-
Racelogic Traction Control (incl Launch) for £530 !
Quote - 'Any idea how much extra for full throttle shift too?' 'fraid not ! I'll give Luke a call to find out though !

Racelogic Traction Control (incl Launch) for £530 !
Doh - that should have obvious ! Me showing my technical competence again there ! :D

If I weren't so far from you I'd take you up on that offer mate; cheers anyway though Stuart ! Any saving's a bonus !

Racelogic Traction Control (incl Launch) for £530 !
Sorry about the delay getting back to you Tony but I've been out of the office today ! The prices do include VAT. I'll have to ask about the slip controller (I don't know what that is I'm afraid  ) but unless that's an optional add on then I guess it does. The price certainly includes the adjustable unit with launch control though ! As for getting them fitted we can have them done as soon as 10 people commit. I've got two definites so far from my own mates (an MR2 turbo and a 200SX Touring) and I'm about to post the offer on Scoobynet and the 200SX club (SXOC). They can be fitted to just about any car with ABS and electronic injection, I'm told, so it's worth asking around. It would pay to phone Luke cause he'll keep the total numbers. Cheers ! Konrad
