  1. Only if you're carrying a handbag :D :D :D
  2. Yeah I'm well pleased with them - although they're lots of fun to clean ! Nice to have wheels that you don't see on every other car you meet ! :D
  3. Then they say - "Sounds like a motorbike mate !" :D  :D
  4. Yeah, no worries ! Wheels look great but the caps suck eh ? Mine almost look better with the caps off ! Cheers !
  5. That's brilliant - cheers Darren ! That name/model should be enough for me to sort some caps out with !
  6. Why didn't Nissan make the Z a separate brand ? It worked for Toyota (Lexus) Maybe then we wouldn't be associated with Nissan Praries & Micra's !!
  7. Sorry to hijack your thread Darren, but do you know the make/model of your wheels ? I've got the same wheels on mine but the hexagonal centre caps have long since seen better days and I could really do with some new ones. I've never seen them on sale in the UK though ! Cheers mate !
  8. I've just spoken to Luke and he'll do the job for £700 labour, providing you can supply all the parts (although he'll source the clutch if required and can supply short-throw gearsticks). I know there's another z being converted before mine, and then mine, obviously, so I reckon you're looking at 4-6 weeks, but Luke says to phone him (0115 9676356). I can certainly vouch for Luke, he's been seriously involved with Zs for 20 odd years and really knows his stuff ! Mac - I agree with your points entirely but my box was supposedly uprated with hardened parts not three years ago but is now mush. It's just a case of once (well twice I guess!) bitten, twice shy ! The one thing I've got in my favour is that the box is coming out of Luke's project car as he's putting a 5.6 litre Corvette engine into it and needs a different box. He at least knows where his own car's been and I've been a customer of his for four years now. Plus, of course, if something does go wrong with a manual box, (which seems to happen less than the autos), it's cheaper to fix! I have really enjoyed my auto box but I'm looking forward to my standing starts now; it'll be sorta like having a new car !! :D
  9. I think John's lights are a direct bolt on replacement for our standard ones actually. They are for sale as such at Zcentre.co.uk. I still reckon you'd have to cut into the bodywork to go any bigger; but it should be worth it ! Could possibly cut into the boot instead to get the extra gap; the bit where the high level brake light goes !
  10. Like this one - John Shaw's ! I think you'd need to cut into the rear panel to get anything larger in there - would like mighty fine though !
  11. Sort of like the Strosek rear lights but larger ! :)
  12. Mine's costing £1400, including a short throw gearstick. I have had to source a new clutch, gear knob and gaiter though. Painful, but then it cost me that to repair my auto box a couple of years ago and I REALLY don't want have to fork out again in another couple of years !
  13. Rob, Luke at the zcentre.co.uk is shortly to be converting mine to manual. You'll have to source your own bits though 'cause I got his last one ! I did find an importer that's got a manual box coming into the country in a few weeks though. Try Mark on 01908 210352.

  15. That would look the dogs @%&£$@$*s if you could get it to fit !! Reckon the diameter would be too big though ? Ferrari 308/328 lights might fit but could be a bit pricey ? ;)
  16. Doh ! Jus Slysdexic guess I ? Couldn't find a plate with 'CON'
  17. Sold ! could you send your address etc to Conrad.Hoeffler@capitalone.com please ? Cheers Andy !
  18. How much do you charge ? To fix them I mean ? :D
  19. They are a bit like French beer - still 'reassuringly' expensive ! 0004

Try Luke at Zcentre.co.uk He sells on line manuals on cd for about £10 !
  21. somebody had to tell him ! :D :D
  22. If 4 or 5 of us stump up a tenner each we could probably buy it off him and have the pleasure of scrapping it ourselves !
  23. EEuuugh ! How many Zs could you buy for the price of that ?

Extra bonus with Toyo's too, if you're still running on standard 16" rims; Toyo offer a puncture guarantee on their tyres up to 16". They pay a percentage towards repair, or replacement if the side-walls are damaged. I got a couple of new tyres that way when I still had 16's on the car ! :)
  25. Cheers Cerb ! I'm happy to do the same and pay in dollars ! What does it come to (just for the two boots @£25) ? Konrad
