Custom Bodywork
Haven't got any figures for you but from conversations with Luke it takes him quite a few sales to recoup the design/mold/build cost. You'd probably be better just taking the idea to him, as I did. He's in the position to do the job; with bodyshop facilities available, just about any previous design of kit etc and a good long-standing relationship with the molder. He's also best placed to sell enough of the item to cover it's manufacture - established website and client-base etc with a good reputation for quality. Can't see there being anything stopping you building a mock-up of what you want and taking it to a molders yourself if you want to though; although I don't think it'll be cheap :( konrad

Help - hit ramp and now leaking fluid!!!
Certainly sounds like a good candidate. Speedramps come a very close second to Twatso cameras in my book of rants ! Send the repair bill to the council when it's sorted - you won't get anything out of it but at least it'll waste their time :xxx:

NZR Do you beleive in Ghosts?
My father recently told me about an incident from when I was really young - that he didn't want to tell me about until I was old enough (and then waited another 15 years I guess ;) ) I was brought up in a 18th century house (used to be a pub actually). One night, about an hour after I'd been put to bed, I was still wide awake when he looked in on me and I asked him who the man was that I'd talking to and had just gone when he walked in. I don't remember it, I was way too young, but I remember always thinking the corridor outside my room was really creepy.

Ap Racing Brakes
Awesome brakes mate ! Never once had brake fade with mine (6 pot 350mm) - even on track ( and with my Zed previously being auto that meant they had to work hard ! Had them on 3 years now and not even had to replace the pads  Because the braking area is so big they don't have to work so hard and so stay cooler. When I was running OEM brakes I got through 3 sets of disks in 18 months so I reckon over the life of the car (which I have no plans to ever sell considering what they fetch) the AP's will more than pay for themselves ! konrad

pics of my car & new VIPER front...
OMG - how much confusion ? For those of you who haven't seen all of the threads about this new bumper perhaps I should explain; and apologies to all those who have ! Can't remember who found the original picture (the one of the grey car on my post a little further up the thread). There were mixed feelings about the bumper but a good number of members, me included, loved it. Nobody could find anyone that sold it, and then Mac noticed it was a modified Strosek front bumper. Someone else then found the original picture which proved that the 'new' bumper was, in fact, a mock-up done in Paintshop. That explains why there are 2 pictures that look much the same, but have different kits. I still wanted the bumper real bad so I took the pictures up to Luke at the Zcentre (who hardly ever visits the forum). He also loved it; he'd been thinking of how to modify the bumper to bring the Z right up to date for a while & this was spot on. He took a Strosek bumper & cut it about until he got it looking like the one in the picture. We took a couple of shots of it and then sent it off to the bodyshop to make a mold. He also started work on modifying the OEM headlights to include indicators as there's nowhere on the new bumper to safely put them without making it look shite. The bumpers are now back from the molders, but as the lights are still a couple of weeks away the first finished Z is still to roll off Luke/Frank's production line. In the meantime Jaz has bought one of the bumpers and had it fitted elsewhere. His is the mighty fine looking yellow Z at the top of the thread - not my car. As it seems the copy isn't exact my modified picture a little further up the thread is how it would look with a couple of minor mods, making the centre supports curve backwards and narrowing the intakes slightly by bringing the top of the bumper down a little lower. This just makes it look more like the original one - although it still looks great as it is. The first one to get done at Frank's will be a metallic black one, and I reckon it'll suit dark cars better. Mine will be soon after, still in grey. Mac's already posted the group buy cost of the bumper, and all of the other pieces of kit you might want are on Luke's website http://www.Zcentre.co.uk You won't find the new bumper on there because he hasn't got one finished yet. I sent Luke the pictures of Jas's car today, but I doubt he'll put those on the site as the car was done at a different bodyshop, and it'll only be a couple of weeks until Luke's first one is done. I don't know the price for fitting an entire bodykit with wide arches, but to give you a indication Frank charges £900 for a basic respray (ie where the colour isn't changing - or it is but you don't want the inside sprayed the same colour) and I think it's about £250-£300 to have bumpers or spoilers fitted, although the price varies from bumper to bumper depending on how difficult the type is to fit. Can't think of any other questions to answer, and besides I've only got bleeding stubs left where my fingers used to be :D I do hope this clears it up ;) konrad

pics of my car & new VIPER front...
That's probably because it's subtly different to the original paintshop modified picture of the grey car. The top edge of the gap is a couple of inches higher and the support strakes (?) leading edge is straight, instead of curving inwards. Please excuse my primitive paintshop skills but my attachment shows what I mean. It's nothing that a good bodyshop couldn't sort for you when they fit it though ! Quite fancy a Z badge in the gap too, sort of like a Prancing Stallion....

Should I run any group buys for traders?
As you're a moderator people could see it as your endorsement of a product; so to save bad feeling and aggro later it would be good if you did get to see the goods before the group buy. Perhaps they should send you freebies ;) :D I can't see that it's favouritism if you're prepared to do the same for any of the traders, but even if it were then this forum is ultimately for the benefit of the members, not the traders, after all. The fact that decent traders can benefit from it is an added bonus ! Good work mate - keep it up !

1'st pics of new 'Viper' front bumper from the Zcentre
Not sure mate - sorry ! I'd be surprised if it didn't, but you'll have to ask Luke that one.

1'st pics of new 'Viper' front bumper from the Zcentre
No, 'fraid not ! I will speak to Luke about them when I go down to see the finished bumper later this week though.

I got shunted down the queue somehow - means the new lights will be ready by the time mine goes on though. Frank's fitting the first one this week, so we should have some piccies pretty soon !

whats the cost of auto to manual conversion
Never mind - cheers anyway ! :D Might ask Luke next time I'm up there though.

whats the cost of auto to manual conversion
Hmm - I like THAT idea :) I've never had mine to the top end in nearly 6 years anyway - my licence is just too valuable to me. Do you have any idea have much time you can shave off the 0-60 etc ? Also, do they run off the same prop, or do you need to change that too ? Cheers Andy konrad

whats the cost of auto to manual conversion
Luke did mine (for about £1,500 all in I think). Took about a week. I wouldn't say it's any better or worse than auto - both are great ! The auto was much easier in traffic etc, and the manual gives the car a bit more of a go-kart feel - and stops people saying "Oh....it's automatic!" when they get in. Main reason I switched was the auto box went for second time; the first time was only clutches but it still cost £1500. Figured new clutches, or if anything goes wrong again, would cost a lot less wedge if it's manual.

Lukes new front bumper
So if you put a couple of small bolt sized holes in the bumper, and possibly a bolt hanging out........ ;)

Lukes new front bumper
Exactly !! :D Do seem to have lost out somewhere here though - was going to be the first originally. . Guess I shouldn't have mentioned I don't need it until the summer

Lukes new front bumper
The pictures of the one on the car are definitely modified in paintshop ! The picture of the one at the top of the thread is the real McCoy. I took the picture of the paintshop modded one round to Luke and asked if he could make it. As it turned out to be a Strosek with the lights cut away it turned out to be a fairly easy job. I've seen it fitted roughly to the car and it looks the dogs bollards. You don't need to change the standard intercoolers, but as the vents go much higher than the OEM bumper you have the option of putting on taller intercoolers to catch more cold air (Luke's looking into this option already apparently ;) ) Put the number plate wherever you like I guess - I'm going to see how long I can get away with one of those stick on ones. My Z hardly ever ventures out of the garage anyway ! konrad

Anyone know where I can find the part number for UK rear alloys?

Er - me I guess; if I count ? If it makes it a bit cheaper then count me in

Anyone know where I can find the part number for UK rear alloys?
Lent 2 of my old wheels to a mate to take his car into the garage (having smashed 2 of his own). The car was in the garage for months waiting for parts, and now they've lost the wheels! :xxx: Anyone know where I can get the part number for the wheels (other than Courtesy Nissan - their rears are cheaper than the fronts so I'm guessing the rears are not the 7.5s) Thanks in advance! konrad

Fancy putting 100 Scoobies in their place ?
Apparently it was running over 500bhp (from a 2 litre engine!!). I get the feeling it'll either have broken since, or had the power turned down a bit ;) If it's a dry day we should be able to damage quite a few egos.
