Need bigger brakes!!! please help
Sorry mate - been off for a while. No, they won't deal direct to the public :xxx: Got mine from Jonathan at Grasshopper ProSport that is no more, more's the pity! Here's a link for their authorised dealers - http://www.apracing.com/info/dealers.asp

Need bigger brakes!!! please help
Went through 3 sets of disks and ended up boiling my brake fluid and flying down the pit-lane at Oulton Park on my handbrake and a prayer  Went for a set of 6 pot, 345mm disk AP Racing brakes, and never looked back - they are 'kin awesome! Never once had brake fade with them, on road or track, and the stopping time's about half that of the standard ones. They're the one the Skyline boys upgrade to. Had some hassle fitting them as they're designed for the skyline not the Zed (they may make some to fit now!?) but Lockheed kindly made me some braided hoses to fit. Best money ever spent on the Zed ! Definitely need bigger wheels though, 17" minimum, better 18.

tyre sizes on 19's
Hi mate, as a rule of thumb, providing you're keeping the same tyre widths, ie 225 front and 245 rear, you go down one profile every time you go up one inch, ie from 245-50-16 to 245-45-17 to 245-40-18 etc. As Clarkey says though that'll change if you're going wider. See here for some great advice - http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html The back will swallow huge tyres, depending on the offset, but always remember to allow a bit of play because the rear wheels do steer, unless you've disabled your hicas obviously.

How many of you have blended, flushed side skirts???

Don't know tbh mate - just part of the overall labour bill.

Anyone got a pic of 300 wearing 350Z alloys ?
It's the "Viper" from Luke at the Zed centre - I just chose to have it without the extra side intakes.

Put LED indicators on the headlamps. The mods were all done at FP Smith Nissan in Peterboro (Bob Ford's garage) and the MOT was done at the same time - they were happy because the indicators don't interfere with the beam pattern and they're well bright! I'm happy because they're flat and inconspicuous when not lit. The wheels are stoopid money from the dealers, but you see them on ebay going from about £750 upwards, depending on condition, tyres etc.

Paul - not picked up any OEM wheels for a while but they're definitely lighter than my old 17's ! Cheers Mr Bunny! Yeah, well pleased with them now they're on! Sonix - yeah, they're 8x18 front, 8.5 x 18 rear boldy - yeah, that was me mate - good spot! Your machine looks the biz on the road by the way ! Justin - yeah, got 225's on the front and 245's on the back. Still handles as well as with my last wheels which wore 245 front and 255 back, so I'll probably stick with these.

Odd noise
OK, anyone got any idea what's about to let go......? the Z makes a low grinding/grumbling noise after coming to a stop - the noise is just like brakes grinding but is only apparent after the car comes to a stop, and then goes away after just a couple of seconds. Could be doing it while I'm stopping too of course, but can't hear that due to road noise etc. Gearbox bearings maybe ? Ta !

what do u think of my insurance quote then
Worth phoning them again and speaking to someone else Mike. Just had my renewal papers through from them. It's £50 more this year than last, but still cheaper than the competition.
