  2. I have my big end failed TT engine in my back yard! It has all the bits on it + TTs good cylinder heads ect ect Would you! Scrap it? Or Consider a rebuild? If I decided to rebuild engine with every recon thing what would be the cost? would it be worth it! Sorry if this is a dumb Question. Arthur
  3. Hi John This depends on shipping or mail order at the time. The quickest & most expensive should take 2-3 days. Normal shipping 10 days. Arthur

Welcome to the mad world of Zs If you use a search for light bulbs you will see a much talked about subject. If its headlights one might consider PIAAs. MPG! your figures sound ok, depends on how fast you go! Happy Z-ding:dance: Arthur

  6. Hi You will need to take weight off wheels to tighten & get to the bolts. Better with the wheel off (more space) make sure car on stands or blocks though! If you put the wheels staight and drive Z v'slow & apply brakes, if the tension bolts are loose, as the weight of the car goes f'ward & stops there will be some give in the tension rod. Then check them for tightness. Hope that makes sense! Arthur
  7. Hi Ray You are right, B19rks has offered pads & discs on past forums to us & other bits. Strano parts do pads (USA) Past threds or search might give you ideas too! Hope it helps Arthur

  10. You will probably need a geometry wheel check after replacing the part. Arthur
  11. My bolts came loose too. I have had to tighten them again after fitting poly bushes two weeks ago. So I would definately check tension bolts. But sounds like a worn steering ball joint that has some play in it. Arthur

If interested in this Z & in bugget there are things you can check before you buy or make an offer. Is the car near you & is it local? Check the garage the repair work was carried out & bills ect, like wheel align'ment, respray, parts. How long the guy owned it. Past service history ect with bills. Recent parts changed, last oil change. Make a tick list of questions to ask, if the guy answers them ok then check the docs out then test drive for an hour! OMG! does this sound crap or wat? I hope this gives U ideas. And take someone who nows Zs too! Not ment too sound like u had not thought about any of this! Arthur. good hunting!

  18. Cheers for that Ryan, I added 1.5L of antifreeze to the system before going to Torquay over w/end. Temp fix of matrix hose (long) with some rubber tape. Check coolant level lunch time no coolant loss! But will change it anyway. Arthur
  19. Thanx Ryan will look at hoses lunch time so I get clear pictiure.
  20. Anyone know the part Nos for the two heater matrix hoses at the back of the engine? I only need the one that comes out of the bulkhead lowest! It seems to have been cut by the jubilee clip as the hose enters the back of the engine. Or what do I ask for! as the two of them are sods to change they are £14.50 each but I dont need both! Can any one help if this makes sense?

  23. there are two heater matrix hoses at the back of the engine and bulk head they sometimes split. Your metal sound could be your front suspension bushes or shocks? Im no mechanic though!Ive never tested top whack!!! what did you get? Good luck Arthur
  24. Sorry to hear about your Z! Could you not get a half engine recon? Or low milage half engine? Some of the forum members say you can pick them up for £400-£600. Only a suggestion. Good luck Arthur
