  11. First pipes to check would be the two matrix hoses at the back of the engine & bulkhead. These maybe in the wrong area but are the easy ones to see! After that looking further down at turbo hoses or back of engine. These are a mix of metal & rubber hoses. Other thing if you cannot see it when engine running & hot you will need a compression test on water system. Hope it helps
  12. Eddie That is a great price. I paid more than double that! Arthur

  18. Hi Mike I have just looked at the manwell This is what it lists 1. Remove oil filter & bracket 2. Remove engine rear gussets both sides, looks like a shield in the manual. 3. 21. Hi Simon Sorry to hear about your Z m8t. I am sure you can get most if not all! of the components you want to fix it! Suppose it depends on any damage to the stucture of the car. Of course you will get some saying get it back as an insurance write off, buy a new Z and sell the bits off your broken car! make some cash in the process. Are cars are worth more in bits!!! I would say Andy is the first call, when you know what bits you want. All the best in the New Year Arthur
  22. Hi again! With all the diagrams, pictures & my old engine, I think & the mechancs agree, that the pipe involved is indeed the turbo feed pipe at the back of the engine & bulkhead as AndyDuff said! So I have told the mechs they can get to it if they remove the battery. God knows what Nissan told them!! My only other question is, the rubber pipe to be changed is held in place by these self sprung clips! How the f--k do you compress and hold them open? then release them! Is this the use of those foot long 90 degree sort of pliers mentioned before? Water, Water everywhere!(not that bad, yet!) Arthur

Hi Ice Me again! I had a petrol leak once. Only stong smell of petrol first 5/10 mins then would go away. Took it to garage they kept it running for 20 mins, found nothing! This went on for three weeks! Then one time I started up the Z opened up the bonnet & looked at the pipes at the rear of the engine & found one of the rear pipes leaking, well not the pipe exact but the clip of the pipe. Only a drip, the fuel pipes run along the back but you need to look at all the clips & all the fuel pipes when you start up & look very carfully for that drip! Hope that helps Arthur
