Hi Ryan I picked your thread up when I did a search about the matrix. I did one a couple of years back on my Passat & had to take the dash off that. Thanx for the info on Courtesy will contact them. Rich I did notice the remark on a thread about the clutch pedal on a manwell! So an auto has one advantage over manwell! Not intending to start another auto/manual debate!! Arthur

CheersTrev! I have looked at the matrix bit in the manual they say it's a PITA! Need to get a bit of hose to bypass it at the moment. I know James & one or two others have had matrix probs. Think the job is a weekend Fri-Sun jobby! Just wondering best place to order a matrix from.

I took Z out yesterday & I have WET CARPETS! I have read enough, I think, to know this means heater matrix knackered! I know afew of you have changed it or had it done. My question is how long is the job to do, where's the best place for replacement part? TT auto. Any help welcome Arthur

Kia u might find the engine revs higher when the heater is on & in D or N Your first Ques; thats normal for the revs to do that. Arthur

I went for and was successful in getting offered a position with the MOD in Germany. I am single, living with a partner. Now MOD saying they do not recognise partners,FFS this is 2004! And if she comes to Germany to live with me she will be an illegal tennant!! :shock: Will not be able to work with the english community, no health cover, ect ect! Well now not sure I want to go! My Z passed the MOT today. :) Not suprised at that to be honest! Did think my rear tyre treads looked low!They said 4mm left. Good that will get me another 100 miles!! I have just fitted clear side indicators to the car. Doing the brake master cylinder seals & pistons next week. Having just done all my brakes & discs, I was suprised that my partner commented that the brakes on our Streetka were far sharper & better than the Z! The brake pedel is not spongy. :confused: Then she said the Z also feels heavier! Well yes, afew Kgs heavier was my reply without being rude! What is she going to say next! the Z feels slower! FFS!!! I hope she knows where to draw the line :dance: Arthur
