Hi all Even more:D Jezz, I am in the process of replacing my Micra cylider head. The bolts on the exhuast side of cylinder head looked bad! Out of the 5 I managed to salvaged 2 so I had to buy 3. Nissan did skim the head for me at £30, which was the same price quote as an engine firm who are 15 miles away. For the past 2 weeks I have used my Z for daily driving as my Micra is off the road. My skill is not with motor mechanics & the last time I did an engine de-coke was on a MG ZB Magnette! Arthur

Hi Now my Z is a TT auto UK. I use 95 unleaded, why? because I thought that was the recommended fuel. It says this on my petrol cap. Is this wrong?

Hi, thanks for ideas So I checked the battery tray and tubo pipe, all sound glad to say:) Had to go out lunch time pulled up on drive & same thing! Got big light under bonnet to look & left engine running, problem found! Bottom matrix hose connection not tight enough & as pressure builds up, water spraying like fine mist around back of engine & onto exhuast. My DIY! :slap: Arthur

Went to Partco lunch time for a micra fan belt, ask them price of 5ltr full synthetic oil - £27, Halfords - £29.99 ZX oil filter Partco - £3.05!

Hi all! Today I went from Folkestone to Dover max miles 10. First 2 miles town, 6 miles dual carrageway max MPH 70, last two miles in town. Switch off engine. Steam or smoke rising from near side under the bonnet & windscreen on the out side. Lifted bonnet quick look, it looked like steam/smoke coming up from back & below engine on inside past the battery. Could not see FA too many pipes & wires! Return to car and drove back! Looked under bonnet, check matrix hoses, not a drop of liquid anywhere! No smoke nowt! WTF is going on, or any ideas what it can be! Why cant we have more space under the bonnet! TT auto UK 91 Arthur :confused:

Hi Insurance ! um! I pay £755 Norwich Union. I am happy with this because: it includes recovery in England & abroad via RAC, Gold cover,home start & anything else you want to call them out for!! I have NEVER been stranded. In the Z its very easy to become stranded. Secondly, Valuation! interesting this is too! I have a standard ZX TT 91 UK (no mods)! owned for two & a half years I Paid £6k for it, came with over £5K of bills in the past two years. Since owning my Z I have bills around £8K!! & it is still standed! Value at this time maybe er £5K! eek! I am like most, I enjoy my car & get paranoid at the slightest knock or stange sound that appears! It could be expensive! I am moving to Gemany in Feb 04 I am thinking of taking it with me cos the car o'ws me! Valuation! Arthur

Hi all Glad you have it sorted now. Over w/end I changed the two small matrix-engine hoses, PITA to change, the ones between engine & bulkhead! Reading this thread I now know I must get the water system full & free of air locks! Big thanks to all! Arthur
