OK! I can live with my alarm & c/lock not working. Garage says engine sound NOT GOOD! They say not big ends more like Little Ends! S!!!, b!!!!!ks, f!!k! So any suggestions welcome about what to do next? Desperate or what! Should I scrap it? Swap it? Get a ford(no way!) get a life! or get a wife! Any one close by that would like to help! I only did 100mph last night! Go for it!:( :( :( :( :( :(

Hi ygb, Ive used garage car wash & jet wash with no probs. Just standard things like radio off, if elec antenna. Make sure the targa tops are water tight! Ive not had any parts come off. Mine is standard ZX TT. I do wash the car by hand too!! ART.

I took a look under the pass-foot well. Two big elec control boxes there! not look like add on alarm box. Will look under centre console, any one! whats best process? My Z's an auto.

Hi scoobydoo, I own a 91 H reg (private plate) auto TT half engine replaced & over 4ks worth of engine work done when I got it 2 years ago. Unmarked interior, unmarked paintwork! cost 5k. Since ; Auto box failed! Nov 02 £1400. 8 tyres £100 each! new rad Jan 03 £200 not incuding fitting! All other reciepts like sevicing £1K or more! 18MPG! These are expensive to keep & love like alot of these guys do. I consider myself level headed, until I bought the Z! I would want a newer shed for that sum!!!!! You need indepedent expert advice. not a cv joint or trans vibration, still happens when still. not had centre console out yet is it a simple job? bottom belt on engine v worn.

problem one!- My Z is fitted with a SERPI STAR alarm any idea as to where the control box & fuse box are. Centrl locking not working with it & it should! No 2 - Ive developed what appears to be a big end rattle on excelleration! Oil pressure OK. and it goes away as auto goes to top gears. Just completed 450 miles this weekend. problem not got worse or engine not seized yet. could it be cam belt ? I'm not a mechanic! Maybe take to garage. Tick over ok too if that helps. thankful for any ideas.:confused:

Hi sorry to hear. My Z autobox gave up completely just before Xmas. Needed reconning! Cost me £1400! If other help no good (hope it is) then u need engineering specialist! I did use internet 4 second hand one. A brakers in Bradford had one going for £600 off a 94Z back in Dec 92! If u want any more help or ideas e mail me. Good luck!
