  1. Sweet   ! Bet you're grinning like a fool :D Pete
  2. Oi!!! :D Shut yo' slow black-zed ass! ;)
  3. Have you got their phonenumber? Do a search on the tinternet (if you live near one) for "hotels in New York" or somewhere in America - most have a ringback facility whereby you enter "your" phonenumber on the screen and they ring you back within moments. No-ones gonna bother tracing it, IP address etc. We did it to a guy it work and he was flummoxed :D. I'd imagine it would get v annoying if you did it in the middle of the night, day in USA, a "few" times ;) Or you could try BT's malicious calls number, its in the front section of your phonebook :) Pete
  4. Ok, searched for a while now and found lots of possibilities but here's my problem... On the last 2 hot days I've driven the zed the pass side exhausts have been blowing blue smoke intermittantly. At one stage the there was loads of the kak, and today when I was stationary and opened the throttle to see the effect on the smoke, the driv side exhaust backfired! Today on the way to Santa Pod, in the morning the car felt sluggish and wouldn't boost fully, at some points it felt lumpy like a cylinder wasn't firing. But one the way home it was fine, no smoke, drove fine. This has happened before when the weather's hot, but its always fine when cool. Also the car's been idling at 5-600rpm where it usually idles at 8-900. Its been decatted (turbo seals etc will spring to everyones mind  ) and done 53000miles Whats wrong? Obviously there's the usual shortlist, but does my "story" indicate anything definate? Thanks people Pete
  5. I've heard its a worthwhile mod for an N/A. Talking of NOS, I saw the funniest thing today at Santa Pod: A nice Mitsi GTO was next to me in the queue, he'd had his bonnet and his boot (why?) open for ages. He had NOS fitted and the cylinder was in his boot. All of a sudden - BANG!! PSSSHHH!! Big cloud of steam as the NOS empties itself into the air. The heat had caused the hose to pop off and he had the valve open!! Class! Nearly shat meself mind :D:D Pete
  6. I get this noise, always wondered what it was
  7. Buy one of each, and keep one of your Azevs :D:D
  8. Ha! I forgot about this - I printed it off your site Andy, when Nissan failed my MOT on the top front susp link. I showed it to the service manager and he said "Uhhh, we haven't got a spring gauge..." :D  In my case the link really was shot though and i needed a new one. Pete
  9. Oops sorry! :o
  10. Hmm dunno - I've never noticed it  . I'll check out the bulb and see. Will have to do a "testing session" :D Cheers folks :) Pete PS : John - I expect nothing else from you - you hardcore racer you ;) ! :D:D
  11. I just ordered the 1/24 Fairlady Z TT model the other day  £16.99 buy-it-now... Cant wait for it to arrive! Pete
  12. Bugger - thought summit was wrong. Think i can live with it 'til I've got some dough though ;) I'll have a look for prices. Cheers mate :) Pete
  13. Hey, A few times whilst braking hard in the dry to avoid stuff (corners, animals, stingers...:D) my front wheels have locked up pretty easily, most of the skiddy sound comes from the pass wheel  When does ABS kick in - I thought it would do whenever the wheel(s) lost grip? The car's got sackfuls of grip round corners, but not so much when braking. Better than any other car I've driven, I'll grant it that, but it seems too easy to do. Anyone else have this? The brakes are stock calipers etc, the pads are the zedworld ones, EBS? Discs look pretty standard, not groved or drilled. Cheers Pete
  14. Yep, as Andy said :) Whats going on with your zed Rob? :( Pete
  15. What a disgrace! This stuff winds me up  .

On one hand - if the govt gives in they'll all start doing that sort of shit. On the other hand - jeez, he does sound hard done by  . Actually if a "normal UK citizen" did that they'd chucked in a mental hospital. Pete
  17. Temp gauge sold  :D !! Pete Edit: Can't PM/email ya, please email me on peter_edgar@hotmail.com, cheers
  18. Whereabouts? :D Think I saw the black zed going past Kwik Fit in rugby yesterday, could've been ANOTHER tho ;)
  19. Yeah I was giving a mate a lift to work, he just laughed - until I started shouting :D. The window didn't go down again, the motor just ground to a halt   , until I blindly found the down button. The 300zx I've heard generally has good safety features - but this isn't one of them  . Pain's going now :D , it's starting to get funny :D. Ok you can laugh now...:D Pete
  20. I just did! Looking out to see how close I was to the kerb, I clicked the once touch up button. Shit my face hurts! :( I'll laugh tomorrow but right now it hurts like buggery (I'd imagine ;) ) Owwwww! Pete

LMAO!! :D:D:D Anyone know what advert she's from? Pete
  22. Thats what I thought about mine too  - I'll have a tinker and let you know James :) Pete
  23. Alright Tony :) Yep there was already an one-prong adaptor in there which wasn't being used. Thought it strange at the time but plugged it in and it fits. Pete
  24. Yeah but the new stereo only just fits through the gap and was a nightmare to get in  . The dodgy metal bracket doesn't help with the alignment either... Might take the opportunity to spray it, and some other bits :) I'd have thought the problem must be near the radio end cos the wire to the aerial would act as a poor aerial and give *some* reception? Cheers Pete
  25. Hmm good plan James I'll do that :) Means taking the fecking dash apart again  d'oh! Cheers Pete
