I raced a standard 1.3 Fiesta at Pod the other week! Very funny. It looked like he was still on the line. No competition but funny :D. I'm a bit scared of Fiestas since I got whupped by one in Feb (shhh!), he'd transplanted a Renault 19 Turbo engine or something in and had NoS :rolleyes: . I've got better times since then tho, so have been looking for him for revenge, grrr! Pete

:D Thanks mate. Yeah I'm gonna get it fixed LOL. Got some gauges to go in but they've been put on hold for the time being. New alloys in the future maybe, JWT chip, shiney bits in the engine bay...:D:D And not forgetting a *new* cd player ;)

Thanks Mick, Dont really know *exactly* whats wrong as I know nowt about suspension or steering, other than what it does ;) Is play is the links usually caused by worn bushes then? Time to upgrade to poly-bushes? Cheers Pete

Thanks Paul, I've printed that bulletin off and will phone Nissan armed with it :) I've had a judder under braking for a while now and have always assumed it to be the brake discs needing replacing. It must be the steering rack juddering :rolleyes: . Are the bits a sod to replace, or has anyone attempted the work? Thanks Pete

Hey all Just got the car back from MOT at Nissan, it failed on the following: - Steering mechanism: excessive movement near & offside steering rack. - Front suspension: excessive movement in nearside top arm. I got a quote for parts and labour: Link: 54525 66U20 £133+VAT Rack: 49001 42P00 £681+VAT Labour total £357.50+VAT Grand total = £1300odd. :mad: :( :mad: Are these parts likely to be found and useable at a breakers? AndyZ? What is fitting like, I'm no mechanic but I'd have a go if its not too bad. Has anyone had either bits replaced? Pleeeeasse! Thanks folks Pete
