  1. I've also had a slight judder when braking gentle at higher speeds, doesn't happen all the time tho. How do I check the bearings, do I simply take the wheel off and give the hubs a shake? Searching on the subject brings up worn disks or wheel bearings. The front disks do look *quite* worn so I'll order some new ones and hopefully that'll help. Another thing that happened today is my centre cap cover thingy that covers the wheel nuts has come off  and gone - probably rolling along the A1. Don't know how but the large screw thread (2.5 - 3" diameter) has sheared completely. Looks like it had been broken a long time ago and hung on until now. Now that alloy looks pants! Its an excuse to nag for some new ones I suppose :D. Pete
  2. Hey folks, Just recently, my zed started making a nasty noise from the front pass side wheel area. When I'm turning right, mostly round roundabouts, there's a screetchy/whiney type noise - like metal edge on metal edge. I can't see anything tho  . Any ideas what this might be. It happened all today, and once before (also sunny and warm IIRC?). Any ideas what this might be? Another way to describe the noise is like a large heavy gate, or a safe, being opened, it's very odd  . Cheers for any help :) Pete
  3. Ahhh - as in throwing :D  :D ! LOL!
  4. Test it! On private road of course... ;) One for the techies otherwise I think?
  5. Scoobynet have set up another forum for Current World Events, an idea maybe? I'm sure it is *very* different being out there, and I bet the same if not worse happened in every other ground battle situation throughout history re friendly fire. It's just the media force issues out which maybe aren't that unusual in war, esp with journalists on every front line
  6. Cos there's two sensors, one tells the gauge what to show, the other tells the ECU what the temp is. The gauge one is obviously working fine. The ECU one (the left one) will cause the fan to come on if the connection's not right. Give it a wiggle while the engine's running and see if the aux fan goes off. Of course, it might be something else causing it - but this is a good place to start :) Hope that helps. Pete
  7. The british military have got it right and all wear sand coloured camouflage in the desert, but the Americans are wearing green coloured. I can see you hiding behind that sand dune! WTF is going on there  Pete
  8. Just looking at the autotrader checking out prices (second car behind the Zed one day ;) ) the NSX prices range from £18,000 (1991) to £65,000 (2002) Sheesh!! Makes you appreciate the Zed a bit more doesn't it :D:D! They can't be that different in performance can they?!

  13. Mine is :) . An extra alloy wouldn't 'alf encroach on your boot space  ! The spacesaver is 125mm isn't it? - try fitting a 245mm (or wider!) and you wont fit your shopping in :D Pete
  14. Search on your username - this'll make some good reading :D Like looking at old photos! Mine was : He he, that was fun ;) !
  15. LOL WTF??! :D :D Whether it's all colours combined, or no colours at all, it certainly isn't a measure of contour :D So is black smooth? And yellow wavy? ;) Surely nothings *perfectly* flat anyway... Pete
  16. Yep - that'll be it :) Mine did the same - on all the time, cleaned up and secured the temp sensor and that did the trick. Cheers Pete
