  1. all my plastic interior bits are going piano black. with charcoal alcantara i think it will look good
  2. it will be the speed sensor on the box get under the car and look on the side of the gearbox the drivers side i think. the sensor is like a little cylinder about 30mm in diameter with a black plastic plug in the end. this plug comes loose and slides out causing the problems you describe. tap it back in andtap over the edge of the casing a little to stop it coming out. should fix it
  3. and black is still black, which by the way is the best:tongue:

  10. well i have manual gearbox fidenza flywheel rps clutch alcantara trim enkei wheels tein coilovers lots more im sure oh and the biggest is a black swb shell- but im fitting that to my engine along with the other bits soon
  11. no problems mate, let me know if you need a hand or get stuck for parts on a sunday etc
  12. just realised you are in shropshire. where abouts. im sure i can pop over and lend a hand if that helps
  13. you will find its an almost impossibe job , the cross member hass to be dropped to remove the sump and as the engine mounts onto it you will have to support the engine which means taking out coilpacks etc and hoses. the gearbox will also have to come off obviously along with starter etc and exhaust. i would say it would actually be quicker to take the engine out. my main advice would be that if you had a big end failure then there will lots of bits in the engine so it will need to be really clean to prevent this happening again. ie put through an engine wash. i had a similar issue with an s14 i owned. the previous owner had done as you planned but it was not long untill the problem re occured. only my 2 pence worth though. More than willing to give advice though

  20. bulkhead, battery tray etc all different
  21. in my opinion i would buy the best car you can bodywork wise and worry about the box later. i assume you are a mechanic so a box change should be no trouble. mechanics are easy to sort compared with the time or cost of sorting out a rusty/bent shell.
