  1. get an emerald ecu and have dave walker map it (a kit has just been developed) problems regarding map will be a thing of the past
  2. Thanks guys im worried that the high build will crack though. being a plastic bumper it will expand quite a lot in the sun, partically as my car is black. might just give it a go and see what happens, worse case ill have to spray it again
  3. thanks guys started sanding off all the fake stone chip this afternoon. anyone know the best way.
  4. thanks mate the only problem now is that im considering removing the plate holder from my brand new 99 spec bumper:hammer: where do you put the plate?
  5. Im getting on to the rear bumper on my swb refurb and i would like to get rid of the side markers. has anyone done this, i guess the best way would be to plastic weld in some more material (i have a spare dead front bumper). i dont think fibreglass will be a good idea as im sure it will crack/sink Any ideas or should i leave well alone. btw im going for the smooth clean look- 99 spec front, no skirts, no spoiler, no rear wiper, no aerial etc. car will be plack so the paint prep has to be perfect.
  6. I have been following dave walkers work for many years now, if there was one person in the uk i would trust in mapping an engine it would be him. i would have thought the advantages on even a relativly stock tt would be substantial. when you take into account the boost control facilities etc this would be great value
  7. zed centre do one
  8. its will have taken me in the region of 200 hours for my respray at least. at even £100 per day thats 2k on labour alone!
  9. sounds fantastic, i want pics
  10. me too after september
  11. could be the none return valve on the braje servo
  12. if you are still after rear shocks i have a virtually brand new set for sale.
  13. the tubs will be fine unless you were really thrashing it. the oil does a good job of cooling and many older turbos were not water cooled. the water cooling is only really needed for sustained high speed runs
  14. the reason the car stalls usaly is the plastic guard when using an aftermarket filter
  15. 17s are perfect fot a swb, thats what im going for anyway. 18's make them look a little like a roller skate
  16. well aluminium has a lowish melting point so you dont want to use an oxy acetaline on it but a hairdryer wont do. something like a plumbing torch should do. you could also make a puller out of a large bolt and a large socket.
  17. you could just heat it a bit being that alloy expands quicker than steel. dont get it too hot though
  18. another in shropshire, we are getting quite a few now, time for a mini meet. although i think it needs to be black
  19. i would say about a 15 on the front and maybe a 5 on the back
  20. not my friend mate never noticed that actualy, wierd as the photos were taken at the bugatti owner trust.
  21. they are jic fittings so should be universal unless you have bsp at the moment, or even metric. adaptors are available for all
  22. take the dash out, that is my main advise, its just as quick and a lot more pleasent
  23. smooth is the way forward. only excuse for a bonnet bulge is a v8
