Jap tyres are not illegal in this country if they meet the required spec, look for the JS symbol. If the SVA test is OK with Jap Tyres, and they are if they have the required spec they must be OK. Also, does Bridgestone not come from Japan? and so their tyres are illegal????

In my exp the better the make, ie Philips etc the better the bulb, power is not everything, in this case.

So, working on sraaee theory, dont fit bigger tyres just let the air out, this lets them bulge more and you can use the side wall for grip?????????????????????????LOL

You could also say that the turbo boxes are stronger, hence the notcheness,, like a TT supra.

Most, if not all of the warranties you can buy are mechanical BREAKAGE warranties, ie if its worn out, abused, neglected, too bad. make sure you know what you are buying.. For what its worth go for the younger car....

There are additives that can do this, and they do also affect every other seal in the engine, but as they only work on seals and not gaskets etc they can be OK. The way they work is they make the rubber, (or whatever they are made of now) expand slightly and so can cure the leak. Some people will say never use it, but I have, not in my Z though. As far as I know they dont cause any trouble....IMHO

I am not saying an extra cooler does not help. it does. But, your fault, ie REPEATED PLANETARY FALIURE, is I feel not caused by the box getting a bit hot. The planet gears, or epicyclic gearbox is a mechanical means of changing the ratios in the box. And this could be boiled for weeks and not suffer any undue wear as it is a hardened part. The more likely cause of this failure, IMHO, is abuse/neglect/too much hard use. Of course failure of another component, torque converter/needle roller races etc, can contaminate the box and so damage the planet gears. Please do not think I am saying dont fit an extra cooler, what I am saying is I dont feel that the failure of the box is down to the lack of cooler and the failure is just coincidence...........

Top (third) gear clutch too small for the job really. Many people feel that an extra/bigger cooler saves the box, but I think that in many cases their boxes were on the way out anyway, IMHO.

Not trying to start anything, just wondering. My mate has a 95 Supra TT 6 speed UK model. I have a 93 TT auto. Standard as far as I know. My question is; when we race he always just has the edge on me, I mean he slowly, as in very slowly pulls away. And if I am on the ball I keep up, just. Is this what one would expect? I ask because I am always surprised how well my car keeps up.... Please tell me what you think
