  1. I know someone who welds rusty cars for MOT's, and then takes them for the MOT for you. I can get his number if you want but its Aylesbury.

The name over the door means nothing.. Its the skill of the man who does it, not much skill, more a bit of care.
  3. It was done by a Range Rover garage, they emptied it, weighed the gas and then refilled to the correct amount. The pipe gets very cold, as it should aparently, the compressor kicks in and out, but there is only a little bit of cold air, as in you can tell its been cooled, but only just, and in this heat its no good at all. ????????
  4. Hi, had my aircon emptied and regassed at the weekend as it only just worked, had 45% of the amount it should have had. But, it only works slightly better. Almost as if some valve or sensor is stuck/broken/dirty. Any ideas please..

I have used slick50 for years, in all my regular cars and a V8 powered boat. Never had a probem, but as was said earlier, would I have had one if I had not used Slick50. Personally I dont think it hurts and it might be good. When they launched it about 15 years ago? they ran some Sunny or similar from one side of Aus tothe other with the sump plug out, witnessed by the AA or similar and the car made it????thats why I use it. EXCEPT I have not put it in my Z becasue of all the bad views on this Forum. Might one day as I have it ready in the garage.
  6. Fair comment, and I know what you mean, however he was doing me a favour as he is a friend of a friend..... I will investigate him further. Thanks for your opinion.....
  7. I have not asked if I can give his number out, but I will, as I said he is on hols soon for a while. I will get him to do my cam belt. In passing where is the best place to get one, he did suggest only a Nissan genuine part, so he got that right.
  8. Could be, I have not yet used him, but I met him through a friend who works with him. He does know about Z's from talking to him, and he said the book gave it about 6-7 hours if he remembered right. And he do go on about the fiddly things involved with the job...we will see.
  9. If your post was directed at me, I do belive what you and others have said, its just I cant get my head round it working. If it was not for the fact that my lights are ok, series 2 lights maybe better??, I would have a go just to see. I will however put in some good quality bulbs before anything. No offence meant.
  10. Hi all, I have found a guy who used to work on Z's for Nissan. He does private work, now works on Range Rovers which he hates, wants £80.00 for a cam belt change plus belt. Seems to know his onions. I will post when he's done it, about 3 weeks as he is off on hols.
  11. Always amazed at how many people dont know what wheels, when out of balance, give what vibration. Front wheels shake the steering Back wheels shake the car.
  12. I agree with you Jock , I see no way that this upgrade can help with putting light "on the road" where we need it. However there has been a lot of talk on this and many people seem to think it helps. I still doubt it though. In my experience you cant beat a proper driving light (or a modern well designed head light) for down the road illumination. How one might deal with the dip beam is another matter.
  13. I keep wondering about something like this, only really tucked away into one of the existing holes in the front bumper so they work but are not on show. I have not done it because I dont know of a good light that really works that will fit.
  14. Dont want to step on any ones toes, but I will have them if they are available.
  15. Four wheel drive does not make a car go round corners fast in good conditions, only in poor. And I did not know my Z was so fast. But hold on Sraae said it, so must be right.......As if.
  16. Yes, could be. I was only hoping no one from here bought the car and then found out it was bent. Good intentions, wished I had kept quiet now, but I still say I might be right, you do get a eye for these things when you have done it long enough.
  17. In responce, Sraae said the car does in fact look low and the reasons could be " uneven drive, camera hot held straight, spring slightly sagged on one side, maybe the camera person has one leg longer than the other" This is where he was talking out of his ear. None of the above would make any difference, or dos a sagging spring lower just one side of a car in relation to the rest of it? As for being carefull? I said,"it looks as if it might be" not it is. I also said sorry if I was wrong, I also said it was hard to tell becasue of the angle of the photo's. If this is grounds for a legal case I would be very surprised, I would not place this forum at rist intentionally. I did not say you called me a fool, but your response is consistent with you considering me to be a fool. But I know we judge others on our own standards, hence I was surprised by your ill considered reply. From your previous posts I should have known better.
  18. Further, the brakes??? there is a claim of an upgrade but we cant see it, makes me wonder. How about you SRAAE???? or are you blind?
  19. SRRAE, I am not a fool, and I have been a salvage dealer for years. I have seen many cars "repaired" and they remain "bent". I feel I am wasting my time with you as you probably know better, but if you look at the difference between the roof line and the bottom of the screen and the panel gap between the leading edge of the bonnet and the lights etc there is a difference. As for your "suggestions" for the reason you talk out of your ear. As for being carefull etc, of what?
  20. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2424070892&category=18238&rd=1 also pictures on his website
  21. They do break their gearboxes, GTO's, manual and auto.
  22. Hi, just looked on Ebay at a 300zx there, it looks to me like the front might be lower on the passenger side, the result of a front end crash perhaps. This often happens when the chassis leg is too low/high, poor repair etc. Hard to tell as the photos are not at the right angle, but anyone interested might need to look hard. Hope its not anyone on here, and if I am wrong I am sorry.
  23. OR buy mine, did I say this allready?
  24. Or buy mine, I might sell it, 1993 series 2, Fairlady TT auto, 17" split rims, exhaust, lowered slightly, UK clocks, 52000 miles, black, not messed around with. very nice. and I mean very nice not the traders version of...
  25. Reading between the lines here, but it seems to me that everthing you have been told "might" be wrong. Turbos gone? but there not, just oil leaks. Cant go faster than Mondeos? and thats the Auto box? Rad, fair comment. Maybe you should get a second opinion. And I dont know the seller.
