  1. Yes, sorry, wrong use of name etc. Let me say I dont see how this could make any difference, (changing these bushes for poly ones) BUT, it did????
  2. Mine used to, and I dont see how but they dont anymore since I changed the front tie bar bushes...???
  3. Hi, marks boy here, yes some get pulled over but very few. There are a group of blokes with big power cosworths....400bhp (claimed) that race up and down, punching it out of the rounderbouts, they get some good drifts. There are also several skylines, celica gt4's, rx7's etc etc. Although there are many boyish cars, there are many proper cars. The last 2 times it has been really good, the occosional police car drove through but thats about it. I think from my experience, the police either make a big appearance, or little to none at all as they cant stop everyone unless they have big numbers. Many people stand on the edges of the paths to watch the big boys strut their stuff, much like a rally scene where theres an accident waiting to happen. Seems to get going anywhere from about 8 to 11. After that people seem to go to cranfield? and drift Its a good laugh anyway, will make a change going down in a nice car! Jamie
  4. My boy has been going every sunday for the last month or so. He says it can be quite good.....lots of cars, lots of fast cars many racing. He says he has only ever seen one Z down there, going to make it 2 tomorrow night. If anyone else wants to go, it is behind the hockey stasdium, next to the mcdonalds and burger king. He tells me last sunday the car park was full up of cars, many boy racers but a fair number of proper cars. Will tell you if its any good for those of you that don't go Mark
  5. And how much was it????
  6. Well, i was assuming that total stupidity was not to be considered. If it is then all is lost. And of course climate has no effect on the condition of said container because to many other factors would make more difference. As for metal in the filter, when an auto starts to eat itself, there is not always metal. The paper on the bands and cclutch plates comes off and contaminates the fluid, generally turns the fluid black/dark too. As I said, I dont feel any auto box in good condition will need its filter cleaning. No offence.
  7. hope i am wrong, but the filters tend to block because the box is near the end of its life. i see no way the climate has any effect. IMHO
  8. You have to ask yourself why the filter was blocked though.
  9. I have used the foam, and my tyre man just moans, many say they cant repair it becasue they dont want to, says my tyre man.
  10. I really want to teach him how, and on the other hand really dont want him to dent/thrash it. I have told him he needs to pay for new tyres too.
  11. Thanks, actually it was my son who asked the question, he wants me to insure him for drving it, he is 17. Ha ha ha said I, but I will try. And he wants to learn to drift it too.
  12. Looking to get classic insurance on my Z. Any tips as to who to use? many thanks Mark
  13. Actually the turbos only free wheel when not boosting, its the engine thats sucks.
  14. At 16k miles it is very low, I would need proof.
  15. votes are against my opinion, which is good.
  16. Is it auto? but even if it is not it sounds like the ring gear. This is the teeth the starter engages to turn the engine over. Or the teeth on the starter itself, but I feel ring gear. If I am right they can be replaced on the flywheel, manual, or a new drive plate for autos. IMHO of cours.
  17. Fixed it!, largly thanks to Jeff TT for pointing me in the right direction. Turned out to be the temp sender connector, easy when you know. Thaks, any and everyone who tried/wanted to help..
  18. thanks, but no it has a standard induction and i have only driven in the dry. Appreciate it Mark
  19. I spoke to Jeff TT this morning, very helfull too. This morning it started ok, ran on about 4-5 cylinders, too much fuel in there, ran it for a little while and it cleared up nicely, then as it warmed up it started to mess around again. I have yet to do a ecu check, forgot last night when I posted, but suspect the temp sender thingy after talking to Jeff. I wil be on it later and report back. thanks so far.
  20. Yes, there is plenty, as I said the fuel pump runs and then stops once the presure is OK.
  21. Hi, I just started my Z, (been out in it this afternoon and all ok), started fine but no tickover. Took it for a gentle drive, alls OK, got back still no idle. Disconnected the battery for about 10 mins, and now it wont start at all. battery spins the engine over really well, fuel pump runs and then stops as it should. But nothing. Help. Series 2 jap auto.
  22. I took the UK speedo itself out of the UK cluster and fitted it into the jap cluster, including the odometer too. Works fine.
  23. In my old yant V8 days a balance pipe was accepted as an improver of performance.
  24. What about the Mitsi 3000 Gto discs some people use????
