  1. I have heard that our esteemed government want the insurers to charge extra as soon as poss to further punish the speeder.
  2. Also in Aylesbury, they have a tall van which scans over the top of roundabouts etc. All you see , if anything is the dark top of the van which to be honest is just about impossible to see. You dont know you have been nicked until you go over the roundabout and get pulled, so take care.
  3. I was catching a line of about 4-5 cars when all of a sudden they all start to brake, why? A speed trap van. As I was leading up to overtake I was going too fast so had to move along side the last in line and "hid" there while we went past the speed trap. The old git in the van looked at me as if I had just murdered his kids. Road was long, wide, sunny and dry with about a mile of visibility, (last summer) And yes I know I should have seen it first.
  4. You can buy a 4 door skyline anyway
  5. I found with ebay that I kept getting bills even after I had paid the previous. No answer to any emails etc. Dont trust them myself.
  6. Its not oil, its a control problem, ie, its being told to do what its doing. More than that I have not a clue. Others have added above on the same idea.
  7. Mine did this, but only sometimes, then it turned nasty and wouldnt run, turned out to be a bad temp sender to the ECU. Might be worth a look.
  8. My problem with Ferrari is things like this, a few years ago some teams were using an exotic metal for their engine blocks. Ferrari complained that it was illegal while they were secretly trying to buy the stuff to use. And remember the tyre problems last year? Ferrari said it was not them who complained, but it was, and they only did it when they were not doing so well. Two faced bunch of political tossers.
  9. I have heard that the gearbox's, both man and auto are weak, and there are often broken GTO's for sale. Dont know for sure.
  10. And if he dosnt Ferrari will complain someone cheated.
  11. Has he got Pass Plus? Can be worth several hundred pounds, but often about £100.00 discount.
  12. I think you will find it becasue the locks/key are worn.
  13. I agree with you Steve, all this "anti" talk reminds me of the witch hunts in the middle ages. Good intentions but.......
  14. But it is a "control" problem...
  15. Def not right.
  16. A Swiss guy, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop where two Englishmen are waiting. "Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he says. The two Englishmen just stare at him. "Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?" The two continue to stare. "Parlare Italiano?" No response, "Hablan ustedes Espanol?" Still nothing. The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted. The first Englishman turns to the second and says, "Y'know, maybe we should learn a foreign language...." "Why?" says the other, "That bloke knew four languages, and it didn't do him any good."#
  17. Sorry some of you guys are disappointed, I only sent it on. Dont shoot the messenger.
  18. The young bride approached her awaiting husband on their wedding night and demanded $20 for their first love-making encounter. In his highly aroused state, he readily agreed. This scenario was repeated each time they made love for the next 30 years, him thinking it was a cute way for her to buy new clothes, etc. Arriving home around noon one day, she found her husband in a very drunken state. Over the next few minutes she heard of the ravages of financial ruin caused by corporate down sizing and it's effects on a 50 year old executive. Calmly, she handed him a bank book showing deposits and interest for 12 years totaling nearly $1 million dollars. Pointing across the parking lot she gestured toward the local bank while handing him stock certificates worth nearly $2 million dollars and informing him that he was the largest stockholder in the bank. She told him that for 30 years she had charged him each time they had sex , and this was the result of her investments. By now he was distraught and beating his head against the side of the car. She asked him why the disappointment at such good news and he replied, "If I had known what you were doing, I would have never slept around!"
  19. OK, 1996 "N" 125k miles, white, elec windows, locks and roof, tyres are all ok, will have 12 months mot, tow bar, inside is very good, if a bit grubby. ABS, clean and tidy but not immaculate, not taxed as I have not used it since Xmas. I used it for about a year+, never let me down etc, new spheres on the rear. Clutch will need replaceing at some time, but I thought that when I got it and its still ok, just judders a bit sometimes, nothing bad. Have changed the oil about every 5k miles, cam belt was done 10k ago. I can send some pics but it will be a few days. want about £800, so its not dear.
  20. I have got a Xantia I might sell, 1996 TD SX 5door hatch though. Let me know if its any good.
  21. Until the TDCi range of diesel engines Ford were about the worst you could buy. IMHO. VW passat would be good, they are still using an engine based on this one, all the qualitites of a golf, also consider Xantia, suspension is no where near as unreliable as people say, and its cheap to fix anyway, and if you are carrying lots they are self leveling, same engine as a 405.
  22. In my limited exp of NA engines, this makes the engine "sweeter" and it does make a difference. Before turbos came along it was one of the basic mods you had to do if you wanted more hp.
  23. No way is it a 93, mine is and its as Scoops says.
  24. I was not saying it was a recomendation, just making a comment.
