Even if oil is leaking "ON TO" the exhaust, how would this effect the smoke coming from the tail pipes? Look at this properly, you say smoke is coming from the tail pipes? This in its self is a problem. Smoke coming from outside of the exhausts means something is leaking on to the exhaust. Sounds simple to me. As I said, get under it and LOOK.

you need to get under it and look. Cats dont smoke on their own, and if its smoking out of the exhausts, sounds iffy.

Nigel, as in, if the exhaust is not smoking, why would the exhaust be "leaking" smoke from the cats. I am not saying its not smoking, I was just questioning the source.

If it is smoke, and there is none coming from the exhaust at the rear, why would it be the cats?

And as has been said many times, there is a question over the Hicas not working correctly if you use an electronic de-limiter. Some say its OK, others say its not. I dont know.

TO make clear what I said earlier, I think they are limited to 112mph in Japan, but for some reason when UK clocks are fitted the limiter works at 125mph. I know of other Z the same as mine in this respect.

And yes its on a public road, my son says the police often just watch??? I remember years ago when the British Grand Prix was at Silverstone, (Bikes) the bikers used to "Take Over" a town near by, and the police used to stop cars while bikes did wheelies etc, I used to watch bikes leaving the town center onto the A5 doing over 100mph. If you rode into town and didnt wheelie or something you got beer thrown at you.
