Anyone ordered from Z1 recently?
Dont see the point of shipping goods at a lower value because if they get lost you only get the stated value.

Anything I can adjust.....
The fork should remain in contact with the pivot when the clutch is released. If the flywheel bolts had stripped youd have no drive. It sounds to me lisa that Dave has done your clutch in :D.give him a slap :slap:

Engine Out
IIRC the manual states to drop the gearbox out.this is not necassary.Just lower the front crossmember and the sump will clear the steering rack.

Indicators stopped, hazards still go
Check the hazard switch fixings as they have a tendency to break and the switch doesnt return properly and cuts the indicators out.underneath the pod are two screws, undo these and the facia comes off exposing the mountings for the hazard switch.

oil in the engine bay ? :(
Sounds like you need to do an engine compression test. This is the classic signs of piston/ring failure.

£140 sounds about right.Im sure thats what Mike(MJP) quoted me when mine went.

Boost controller
Its down to the individual but i fit them next to the factory boost sensor. That way you can run the pipe down behind the master cylinder to a factory grommet just below the steering column. To find the grommet inside the car remove the rubber shroud around the column where it meets the floor and pull the carpet down.youll have to pull down the sound deadening also.

If it is the states then it must be a turbo.non turbos were 2+2s iirc.

Max Output with my tubs? Any ideas
On those tubs they will run 22psi all day long but on a properly mapped motor 15psi will be more than satisfactory.I fitted a pair of these to a customers car and even with a low boost map (12psi) they kicked ass.
-
I want to buy some tubs?
Judging by the housing thickness around the exhaust exducer id say the impellers are no bigger than a 525.
-
I want to buy some tubs?
The figures quoted for american built tubs are rather tongue in cheek.youd need cams, manifolds etc to get those figures. Is the jwt600 a four bolt fixing?
-
I want to buy some tubs?
The gt525 is the largest 4 bolt fixing tub you can fit.bolts straight up and is good for 360-380 at the back wheels with supporting mods.Im running a pair and have fitted a pair to Joelys car and hes really impressed also.My dad runs 500s on his and these spool a bit lower down the rev range and are also a good turbo.

Ive seen the guys work that paul uses and i can vouch that he does a superb job.

Clutch Suggestions
Mikes os giken is as light as a stock clutch.I was amazed after driving it then pulling the engine to find a triple plate clutch.
-
Turbo problems?
£2500 is rather steep to say the least. It can be done much cheaper than that without cutting corners ;).
-
Removing crank shaft
If you try and force the sprocket youll risk damaging the oil pump. The pump is three times dearer than the sprocket so id just drill through the sprocket then split it with a sharp chisel.
