If it smokes all the time it sounds like your piston or ring lands have gone.Have you had a compression test done?

Youll need deep pockets for lifters.Oem ones are over £500 a set.They can be refurbed yourself if you have the time.The link for doing them yourself is on here somewhere.If your doing them do all of them.Id say its about a good days work to do them or thereabouts.

That almost certainly looks like detonation damage.You need to get to the bottom of the cause or it will happen again.

If your dipstick is coming out and spraying the battery with oil its time to do a compression test.You may have piston/ring land failure.

if the car has lost water then the temp gauge cant read anything.the sender needs to be sat in water to give you a reading.

Stock pistons are the weak point.Stock rods and crank can take serious power before upgrading is needed.Plenty of 5-600bhp zeds in the states are just running forged pistons with oem crank and rods.

standard bore size should be 87-87.030mm.The wear limit is 0.20mm on top of these readings.Main bearing journals should be around 62.962mm.Big ends should measure around 49.964mm.The figures after the decimal point will not be exact when you measure them but will give you an idea what your looking for.If its not re ground have the journals polished and put a set of standard bearings in.

If you want to prove a bad earth use a jump lead from the battery to a good ground on the engine,Secure it so you can shut the bonnet and drive it.The earth runs along the scuttle is bolted there and then runs down the back of the engine and bolts to the passenger side of the bellhousing.You can get to it with the battery out.
