The bar connects to the lock mechanism.If the drivers door has an aftermarket motor fitted for the alarm to work the central locking which i should imagine it does then the yellow clip breaking wont make a difference to your alarm opening the door.

Good luck with it Dan and dont get disheartened if it doesnt run like a peach straight away.You may have a few bad connections that will need checking and cleaning.Just work your way through and if it floods it will be a pig to restart.Pull the plugs out for ten minutes and dry them.

.As the pound is so weak at the moment and its currently 1.49 to the dollar youd be hard pushed to buy a loom for that let alone have it delivered with duty applied.Average price is $360 which equates to £240 without shipping.

Those plugs WILL fit a z32.Even though the lug is in the middle they will go on and are very snug.I used them before changing my engine loom.

To release the fuel pressure remove the pump fuse by the brake servo then crank the engine.And it is easier as stated to lift the engine with the plenum on.

^^^^^ They are shielded as well mate your right.The outer core is grounded at the ecu IIRC.pretty hi tech for an old motor !!

Only one wire is connected.As stated by Legrath the other wire is for shielding like co ax and shrouds the inner.
