No the thermostat is held and sealed by the the water pipe.make sure the thermostat jiggle valve is at the top or you wont be able to clear the air out of the cooling system.

If the water pipes are pitted slightly where the hose fitted apply some sealer inside the new bridge pipes to prevent any leaks.

275 will be stretched slightly on a 10" rim.285 will look right for the wheel.

If your on about the vtc springs they are pressure fed anyway along the camshaft.The variable timing is altered by varying the oil pressure in the hub.So just install them and the engine will do the rest.

The loom isnt that bad with the engine in place and the bulkhead grommet aint that bad to get at with the battery out.The nause part is the inside.Undoing the loom clamp behind the heater box is fiddly as fook unless you have small hands.Well worth doing in my opinion and worth the money.

The guide was great till it got to the "dont skimp on liquid gasket".Liquid gasket is great stuff but has to be applied correctly.large beads on joints can come adrift inside an engine and block oil ways causing seizure.:wack:

Thats probaly the most common boost leak youll find on a zed.easiest tool to tighten the D/side is an 8mm hose clip screw driver with a flexible shaft.The nissan clips are 8mm but they may have been changed to jubliees which are 7.

Blairs sauces from the states are mental if anyone fancies a go.I have a bottle of a million scoville "Mad dogs revenge" which is the size of a nail varnish bottle but takes 14lbs of chillies boiled down to make.A teaspoon of it is mental in a curry.I find it hard to believe that was a naga chilli as youd probaly vomit when it hit your stomach as that much concentration would be dodgy in one go.

If it smokes all the time it sounds like your piston or ring lands have gone.Have you had a compression test done?
