How much would it cost roughly to have an auto 300ZX changed to a 5 speed manual?

hi guys just wanting 2 no if anybodys got a second hand maf? and wot the problem is if not that? feels like clutch slip, but mechancal friend doesnt seem 2 think so plus she hasnt been started in a while so wondering wot else could b cause? she wont go flat out over 2500 rpm even mayb less? plus oil guage reading between 0 and first mark when started, but all ok when shes warmed up and hopeing not the turbos!!! shes a 1990 jap manuel any answers cheers tom:crying::crying:

Took my car for a spin earlier, following a bit of weight reduction and replacing the standard intercoolers for ARC uprated side mounts. I've also concentrated my efforts to have maximum airflow to the front of the intercoolers, and also flow out of the back of them. Its made a HUUUGE difference to acceleration, more than I'd ever expect! its still running standard boost too. It'll be SORN'd tonight so I can do lots to it next month. Can't wait for the summer when its got loads more of go-faster goodies on!! :clap: :thumbup:

Hi guys, as some of you are aware I bought some parts off a member here. These were to include.... 1. A brand new Border Fuel Rail with 550 injectors. £350 2. A set of mark 2 series clocks with plasma dials. £100 3. A set of silver faced dials brand new and unused. £140 4. A set of TT decat pipes with silencers used for 500 miles. £70 Now I put dibs on the Fuel Rail + injectors and clocks on Dec 29 I PM'd the person and asked were the series 2 clocks UK spec as I had been looking for UK spec for some time. I was told that as far as he knew they were UK spec and he had changed the dials in them some time previous and hadn't got round to fitting them. …

What year did the Series 1 stop and Series 2 start As I'm not sure. i'm looking at buying some Leather seats from a 1990 Zx and i got a 1997, will they fit??

car has been parked up for a few weeks & not run. Decided to put battery on charge but can't get in as alarm fob isn't opening the doors. Both key fob batteries seem ok- any ideas how to get in or to release the bonnet to connect battery charger??

I picked up another Z TT yesterday.Drove the car back from Devon to bournemouth for 3 hours. Everything fine. Noticed however that the oil prssure gauge was reading zero !! Not budging even under heavy revs. An RAC man who I happened to chat to at a garage(I pulled over straight away) agreed with me and said, the engine sounds fine, the turbos would have seized if the pressure was genuinly that low. He estimated a dodgy sensor or guage.....however, on starting cold this mornirng with thicker cold oil....., the guage sits on zero but pressure increases to 4 when revving. As it warms up it stops moving up the scale again... i am stumped as the car seems to run pe…

Just been watchin a program on older cars being in crashes and how much they have been caved in. To be honest made me think again about buying an older car as some of the damge is horrific. Oviously all cars where different and in its day the 300zx was far ahead of time with its style etc. So was wondering if anybody is aware of what star rating the z gets and if the have any videos. Tried searching the net for this informatiuon on the car. Can the zed with stand a high speed without crumpling? Hi guys, Can anyone tell me the weight of a Border Fuel Rail and Nismo 550 injectors?? I'm having a slight problem with a parcel that arrived with nothing but newspaper in it:no:, I'm of the opinion that the items were not placed in the parcel as there is no smell of petrol and used injectors would leave a faint smell on newspaper:huh:. I'm not accusing anyone of inappropriate behaviour but feel that the items may have been placed in someone elses parcel as he sent a few at the time. He is of the opinion that the customs opened the parcel but the parcel was securely wrapped with no sign of tampering( I work for The Dept. of Justice and know a thing or two:wink: ) …

This is my advice/feedback about this shop. A few time ago i have buy on ebay uk an Blitz RVIT type II from JW RACING payment done all ok.. the unit arrive.. the probs arrive too.. the unit says "type II" but in realy was a type I internaly.. the plug was not for for nissan 89-96 it was from 96+ ( type I ) i contact the seller to send back the unit and give me the money back. he agreed, so i send it..whem arrive to the seller i ask for my money back he said it was a blitz prob and go to send the unit to blitz in japan to see the unit all most a year and the seller never refund the money and never respond to my mails. i have be stole…

why does nothing good happen then two things in a day come around to cheer you up?? Firstly ive been after re doing my alcantara in black suede, been looking for ages, but cant find it. Hey presto, go to a local fabric suppliers, and they have 18mtrs of of it, identical to the series 3 interior in mine but in deep black. 2ndly. have been lookiong for my other 'Fairlady Z' badge for a while, only to find it hiding in the targa bags of my spare Jap Z. Now i have 2, well chuffed, may make some enquirys with a local chromer to see if they can use as a template. Never seen on any other zed, but believed from an an old 240 or 260z

If i was to fit an aftermarket Rad can i still use the stock/carbon fan cover because i think it looks pants without one. I also want to keep the original fan. one more thing can you still use the original rad pipes???

Hey folks due to the recent news from zedworld that my current engine is knackered due to low compression i need to get my spare engine stripped and rebuilt as quick as possible and put in as soon as i can so just need to confirm that my list of parts is correct and if there is anything else i will need. Looking at using nissan parts for this engine and as cheap as i can as my current engine will now be the one im gonna use to uprate the internals. My spare engine is an automatic twin turbo engine with head gaskets gone but it has been confirmed that the bottom end is fine. Now i know that i will have to use my current turbos and balance pipe as they are different …

Just a quick thanks to Jeff and Jamie for getting to the bottom of a couple of faults on my zed and the new tailgate. Even though the news was bad with regards to a my compression results and leaky injector, it does sound a bit better coming from you. Ill be over in the a couple of months when i get my spare engine in :) Thanks Marty

Hi Chaps, I have just received a pair of R33 Brembo calipers. I have noticed that one of the calipers has had a broken hub mount at some time and it has been welded back on. Obviously I have emailed the seller for an explanation, but my question to you guys is do you think it will be safe to use?? Won't hold anyone to their word, just after some opinions on this. Has anyone else had this happen before? Cheers....
